He has Nank the tank round 1 for instance I follow the draft, Jagga Smith is a complete lock barring injuries. He has played a couple of VFL games for the tigers last year and still got the job done. 27 touches per game over 2 games in the VFL against men. Odd to see so many premos decline post bye? I always thought that the best players inflate their prices later in the season when theres a bit more space? Maybe that's because of cherry picking pundits who cite last 4, 6, 8 games @ 180? Though I do think it applies to rucks barring injury. I do wonder if Caldwell will go next level as #2 Mid? Zerrett is #1 Mid, not playing HB, probably looking after him & preparing to drop behind the ball & distribute? No Parish with Setterfield & Hobbs on the outer? (And no pointless Stringer CBAs?)

Parker will get Warlaw's CBA's. More analysis, less team reveals personally. Most teams are cookie cutter atm, will probably be even more pronounced once the preseason and Opening Round games have happened. Outside of Filthy, Richards and Clark, maybe Gawn (but more will do it closer to lockout) you have the same as most too. With so many cheap must haves there not many spots up for grabs. I have Gwan/Xerri too atm so long as his larynx is ok and he is fit. I have gone with the philosophy that a cheapy like Mills/Macrae will probably be a keeper and the primos I have are who I also think will be a keeper, so no McKertchers, Cerras, Peatlings, Flynns etc. Guns and Rookies (or rookie priced, I like the Maric pick for instance.) and cheap keepers only. I figure I will be saving trades with upgrading and with the flex no loss of points or minimal at the start. Less risk I am hoping.

Really like that strategy, especially after my own experience last year. Obviously with more players getting injured, the pool of relevant players is getting smaller. Personally think the guys with the lowest differential are the ones to target, you know win or lose what they will get. Don't think Soligo is getting enough love. 10 point increase year on year and set to be permanent mid with Laird going back. Peatling will rotate with all of Rachele, Neal'Bullen and Rankine, Soligo will rotate off the bench. He is bigger, has a bigger contest to contest tank and has a better midfield around him. Crom have a healthy list and will surprise this year, am excited for them for sure. Soligo will breakout, that's my prediction.
@wizsupercoach7 күн бұрын
I agree, smaller differential are safer picks for sure. I really hope you are right about Soligo and Crom but I'm not sold on him at all in terms of a SC breakout. The biggest red flag for me was in the "CBA sweet spot" video. Basically he needs very high CBA% to score well. I predict Peatling will take the 50% Laird was getting so Im not sure where Soligo will get that needed boost. That said, croms midfield mix is still a mystery so you may well be right.

Thanks for the hard work in putting together the data. I think a rolling three year average of PPD might have been useful to include as a baseline, to account for any down years due to injury, etc. I note you’ve included 23 data for those that missed a season, but some players may have had an outlier year also.
