It's good that this form of racing is gaining popularity with the Legends Elite Cup in the UK getting some TV time during BTCC coverage. And it's a firm reminder to other series' that the more the cars grow, the worse the racing gets.

I might have to snag a subscription to Superview some time. This looks fantastic. I'd also encourage anyone who likes this to give the Mazda MX-5 cup a try! It's an IMSA support series and streams entirely for free. Very tight races with lots of passing. Often has 3 or 4 car battles coming across the finish line.

Something I really enjoy is Nitrocross. I think it’s only on KZbin but you don’t really get closer racing than that and a race is just 3 laps so it’s quick. But so few people actually watch it

Being a Scot, i recognise the circuit in the first 2-3mins as good old Knockhill!👍🏻 Now living in Australia love watching the Aussie Racing cars series!👌🏻

Enjoyed the ARC's at the Gold Coast last weekend, brilliant to watch. They go HARD, hit eachother, keep going with it with everyone having a right laugh.

F1 should learn a lesson about the size of the race cars. Modern F1 cars are huge.

I've seen these cars in a Documentary about the New Zealand Customs, so they race over there too.. The look the part, and as a former MiniBike Racer, i know that racing with "equal" machinery is Big Fun! i'd love to see these cars in action one day!..

I wonder if Alan Gow is aiming for the Toca Junior series to take off in the same vein, or perhaps morph into something akin to ASC.

The best part is that there's no performance differences between various types of bodywork unlike other silhouette series, so you get to see great racing with vastly different looking cars with identical chassis and engines.

Any Motor Racing fan is Australia know about Aussie Racing Cars Series, thanks to the work of Phil Ward. Insane speeds in corners and overtaking. Very entertaining. 🇦🇺

this ,THis Is what car racing is all about? same cars different drivers? sooo ,basically it is the driver that counts? and that to me is what a racing series should be about???

As an Aussie I've know about ARC nearly since its introduction. As for being affordable...well that depends on your definition of affordable. These days you'll not get much change out of $100k. It would take me longer than saving up for the deposit of a house to afford one of these pocket rockets. And that's disposable income.... Still toys for the rich boys.😢

I dunno if Phil Ward still races in the series, but I'll never forget the time he drove up to the front of the grid from his qualifying position & cancelled the race under safety concerns, as there had been an engine failure that had oiled down the track in the race immediately prior to the ASC race, and he wasn't happy with the cleanup. Cue confusion from the commentators, but a lot of respect from his fellow racers. As he said (and I'm paraphrasing here) "A lot of people have spent a lot of their money to be here, and I'm not prepared to let them crash their cars because the track doesn't want to do a proper job of cleanup". Coming from the guy who stood to make the most money out of any repairs, that meant a lot...

Really mate? They used to be FJ or a 40s Ford body in the 90s, these kits (Commodore, Falcon, Mustang etc) came later. Near as good as the V8 Utes used to be.

Some of the reason for their acceptance also lies in the fact that they can be modelled on marques that Aussies grew up with, the Holdens and Fords being prominent. Since these names have been lost to the demise of Australian manufacturing supporters are leaning towards them instead of the supercars which have basically become a Formula USA brand with Mustangs and Cameros.

I personally do not think Ford would deliberately favour the Kiwi car as Shelby, an American no less, was integral part of the Miles / Hulme car. I think the missing lap thing was the reason.
