I'm a Brit, but I don't think any other player has come close to Jonah Lomu's ability, strength or size and a decency as a role model on and off field.

Reading the comments I have to add, the Haka is about the Warrior challenge .. Intimidate, yes. But the point most of the World misses is the fact that if you face this you are being asked to bring your Best, challenge and if you can .. Win!. If you ever get the chance to face a Haka it's probably because you are the best at your game and to be fair a sign of respect. Love from NZ

Yes this is a challenge. A challenge to themselves. They are acknowledging their ancestry, calling for strength in battle, united in one cause.....and scaring the s..t out of the opposition. KIA KAHA. PS There are many haka on YT. Not all from sport teams. Check some out.

Hopefully they were not pepper sprayed for insigiting a riot like the kiwi school boys in texas, lost in translation.A good warm up, you would not want to be on the bottom of the first ruck, they hit the ground sprinting.

As a Kiwi, one of our traditions is to remain silent while they are performing the Haka. There are some amazing Hakas in recent history so go look for one between South Africa and NZ, or NZ vs England.

The Māori extras from Lord of the Rings did their Hakka dance before shooting the battle scenes as well ❤❤❤ The man holding the smaller wooden item is a symbol when put in front of someone, means it’s battle time

A visiting NZ youth team gave their hosts (Brigham Young University?) a Haka as a Thank you. US officials banned the recipents from performing it facing an opposing team because 'it might intimidate and upset them'. American are such big girl blouses at times, that is the whole purpose of a Haka.

It’s a ritual of mutual respect. The All Blacks honour their opponents with a Haka and the team on the receiving end reciprocate by accepting the challenge embodied in the ritual. Glorious theatre!

I'm Australian... New Zealander's are family. These warriors psyche out their opponents, much like the 'bezerkas'. No one wants to be on the other side of this, yet here they are! Don't worry, whether Australian, Irish or British... it's alway's a great battle. Much respect!❤🇳🇿🇦🇺

Some say that they actually start the game at a disadvantage by performing the Haka. They build up all that adrenaline rush, then their bodies are on the downturn during the anthems. Just shows what a great side they are to overcome a slow start at every game.
