Super old video but extremely helpful, thank you. 8 years later and it still holds true…if you ain’t willing to lose the lure, you ain’t catching many fish.

Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod kzbin.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.

Sir, could you please do a comparison of skipping jigs with a curado DC vs a standard baitcaster. This type comparison has not been done and it has never been addressed on you tube. Due to two totally different braking systems, people are confused about the ability of a DC reel to skip as good as a traditional baitcaster brake system.

*Great reel, **enjoyable.fishing** recommend very smooth and I love that you can change from left hand to right hand so easily. Gave it a 4 on durability because I haven’t had it long enough to rate it. Doing good so far.*

i find it very hard to stand in my outback to fish, unless the water is flat like a mirror. If i was a very short and skinny men it might work,i don't think that any one can stand and fish properly for even a short period of time.

Not really a how to video, more of a watch you skip video. Where does the bait need to hit the water, how hard to throw, etc

*_Bought this for a graduation present for my extremely active sister. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this product.>_**_allmy.tips/SevylorKayaks?す_**_ < We live in Florida and take it to the beach and the intracoastal with no problems. I wish the paddle was a little stronger but the convenience of the backpack makes up for it. We love how easy it it to pack up and bring literally anywhere with you. The pump is also amazing since it inflates and deflates making the cleanup and set up process very fast. I want to buy one for myself! Definitely recommend if you are looking for a fun, outdoor activity!_*

Good tutorial👍 I know it's not a big deal, but generally baits with a darker side and a lighter side are typically nose hooked so that the darker side is up (just like real fish coloration). You just proved that the "upside down" will work too. You're definitely working the HPA's well.

honestly this knot is kind of a pain in the ass particularly with heavier line and the palomar knot which is far easier is actually stronger. The uni knot is made correctly but he question is if a stronger and easier knot exists why bother?

Hello Ryan. Outstanding video. Very simple and direct to the point. I found a used outback for sale in great condition but I was looking for someone with real feedback. Thanks a lot. Also, I was wondering if would be possible you make a video explain about fishing bait. I’m a beginner in the fishing thing but would be great to see a video explaining about baits. Just subscribe.
