All these people leaving negative comments are completely missing the point. It really agravates me when people imply that everyone who does music production should hire session musicians to play brass and saxophone parts but for many of us that's not happening because we can't afford to hire session musicians so we have no other choice but to make the best of what's possible with midi. These brass sounds are still better compared to what you get in the Kontakt Factory Library.

Why are you in the upper octaves my friend ? These are supposed to be bass samples.

The review was not convincing enough for me to buy this product. It's a bit boring, lack of excitement and doesn't really show the true potential of this vst.

Phantasm is fantastic, and you can get it for free if you purchase any Ergo Kukke library at Loot Audio - I got Synchro Hits and Phantasm together, what a deal! I also got the UJAM new synth bundle. Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for the weekly Deal Compressor show! I always enjoy it and look forward to it every Friday :)

No dollar deals section in the description anymore (for a few weeks). As a hobbyist, these prices are 😱😂 Bring it back!

Dollar Deals are at 18:35 - I just used the wrong card in that section this week - if you’re looking for links then check the All Links here in the description. KZbin limits the amount of text I can add so you’ll have to go to the show page for all the link

The brass sounds too slick / well-behaved. Where's the sense of "uncontrolled" brutal power that brass also can give.
@thisislance5 күн бұрын
This is meant to be fanfare brass, which is polite but powerful. It don't get real nasty.

Non-controllable vibrato is an anathema. No matter how good it sounds in the demo, the performance is strictly limited to a super rigit sterile/templated expression that severely limits the phrasing options. Vibrato here seems to be treated just as an "added decoration", whereas vibrato with variable width and variable speed is existentially crucial for the violin - the king of expression - and is simply not present. Showing near contempt to this by the developers makes me want to cry. Are you serious? Swells without a gradual increase in vibrato intensity? Message to developers: Come back to me when you have fixed this.

Damn this is sooooo good. I wonder if they will extend this style to other sections of orchestra as well? That’d be interesting - John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith sounding orchestra in our DAW…
@kenvives11 күн бұрын
Thanks so much. All the demos do sound amazing especially as it’s intended to be an extension to a full brass library. What are your thoughts on the consistency of the note starts? I prefer to quantize and use predelay. Did you find yourself needing to adjust from patch to patch?
@bfree4511 күн бұрын
They seemed super consistent across the board, I didn't use any delay compensation on any channel. There were times were a certain attack was more sluggish but that's by design, some marcatos have more bloom and others are sharp and immediate. In the end programming section as well, all I did was copy and paste from patch to patch for trumpets, horns, and trombones, and it sounded absolutely perfect and consistent, and it's the consistency across these sections and how well they sound together that really made this library so enjoyable to use for me.

This is my favourite percussion library. I will probably get Box Factory at some point as well. If you are only going to buy one library from Fracture Sounds, get this one. If lucky they have this on sale on black friday. I think I got it with 33% off.
