Thanks buddy, I have been interested in this one for quite some time, but hearing about other people’s experiences with something that’s not cheap is a great way to feel confident about getting it! But, I shouldn’t worry about anything other than affording it because I have not regretted buying a SureFire before. I think sometimes it’s better to buy one, cry once! 😂 Especially when it’s a tool that it could get you killed if it stops working! Thanks again. Best wishes to you and your family. ✌️🇺🇸

Thanks but persons frame size isn't a problem cause it has adjustable harness plus it's not small in terms of length overall, it's tall ok, it's small capacity is due to depth and width

How is this bag holding up today compared to other options? (Especially in terms of comfort) Do you still use it? I'm still trying to find the perfect camera backpack (like everyone else). I've tried the Shimoda 35l Explore V2 and Action X30 but for some reason Shimoda's harness system just doesn't work well for me and I find their bags very uncomfortable even after loads of adjustments. The Think Tank Urban Access 15 is much more comfortable but I find the layout limiting. The Fstop Shinn 80l is very comfortable for it's size and weight when used with the hip belt but it's far too big for most daily carry use. It's also hard to find bags with good depth to store larger lenses vertically like the Canon RF 70-200mm (5.75") and RF 28-70mm F2. The Compagnon 20l and 30l look great but are very expensive and hard to find much recent feedback on compared to other options.

Hey, thankyou for the questions. I do not use this bag anymore. I held onto it for a few more months past the review, but I keep going back to my Nya-evo. I find it interesting that the Shimoda is uncomfortable, as that was one of the bast harnesses that I have used. But to be honest when I head out and carry a lot of gear or have big lenses I grab my Nya-evo Fjord 60c (a close second for me was the Wandrd Fernweh, but I didn't like the cube access) I have reviews of both on www.carryology.com

Thanks for the thorough review. NYA-EVO doesn’t have enough photos and video on their own site to even closely convince me, but your review is super thorough. After a few years of use, what would you say is the biggest problem with the bag? Subscribed!

Hummm, Thats hard rto say as The 36 and 60C are my go to bags. For the 36 would say that at times the straps get in the way of opening and closing the camera area more than I would like. But there is really no way around that with any bag that has a rear open.

Very helpful video, Matt. I'm hiking now with ULA-Equipment and Gregory backpacks, but this one is now high on my list for upgrading. I wish some of your video switches from older to newer were a bit slower. Maybe it's my old age, but it felt somewhat jerky to me. Your content was TOP NOTCH.

Thank you for the good overall review. I found it a bit of a struggle to install the large insert. Once installed, it works just fine, but it was enough of an effort that I'm inclined to permanently leave it in and not bother swapping it out with a medium insert sometimes. Do you use both L and M inserts?

Yeah. I switch out, but usually only if I’m taking it on an extended hike. I like the large and figure I can use the space for jackets or other things if needed. I have the 26 & 36. So I use those for other needs as well.

Unfortunately, its so damn heavy!! I have the Athlete, and I would prefer the Adventure bag, but the design is so different, and I'm not a fan of it. Laptop compartment is useless and added weight not needed as my laptop doesn't even fit. Its way too padded, which is good, but its so much weight. Its 2-3x heavier than a normal hiking bag. The hip strap has expandable pockets, which is great, but it sucks as they are not removable, which makes using the hip pockets useless, as you cant use them.
@pkmexplorers

Very good review. Thanks 500 price tag is a little abusive. I really wanted Athlete, but there is few things what make me think. 1) weight - as carry on is a bit heavy 2) side zippers are potential point of failure 3) ICU should be removable so is you could use inside backpacking bag if you need to I can't find one reason why I will buy this bag over let say F-stop AJNA 37L DuraDiamond 37L .
@jkrasner2
@jkrasner2 Жыл бұрын
IMO this bag carries better (more comfortable) than any of the fstop bags that I own or have previously owned. From my understanding after speaking with the company directly, the built in icu has a lot to do with that (something about greater structural integrity/rigidity). Whatever the reason, I will soon be selling my fstop tilopia duradiamond now that I've picked up this bag.

Thanks for the review. I'm actually thinking of getting this pack to put my fight gear (gloves, shinguards etc.) in the main compartment and office wear (blazer, pants, shoes etc.) in the segmented pockets. Do you think its a good idea? have been looking for a duffle that can hold all the items but split them up at the same time and this seems like it! Is there an option to add a shoulder strap as well? To use in duffle mode?
