MYSTERY RANCH Urban Assault 21L Overview (Wood Waxed)

I have been using the Mystery Ranch Urban Assault for several months as my everyday bag. The wood waxed is such a great fabric I ended up getting the Mission Duffel in Wood Waxed as well.

I just ordered the UA21 in wildfire but also have the UA24, Spiff Kit and Go Bag in wood waxed. It’s a great material choice. I wish they had more bags in the black waxed like the Mission Rover.

The tri-zip UA21 never really piqued my interest until I bought the woodwaxed Full Moon sling. Then I saw that the waxed canvas is available as well on the UA21. The rest as they say is history :) The material did it for me! The "tactile goodness" is up to the roof and appeals to my kind of aesthetics. It's a very good looking backpack and I'm speaking from a female POV.

Do you think the wood waxed material is any less durable then the normal 500d version?

I do not. I have the duffle and it has been through a lot.

I have beat the snot out of my wood waxed UA24 for a year now and it still looks great.

do you feel comfortable with the buckle straps? They say the shoulder straps are too short so the buckles stay on your chest instead of the armpit and it is not comfortable. can you tell us something? thanks for the video.

Cool video, mate. The bag looks really interesting. And the traveler's notebook looks awesome as well. I might need to invest in one in the future

Great bag, great review! I ordered the Shadow version but liked the wood waxed too, however thought it's just a different colourway. If the bag of actually different material and comes waxed or of the box?

The bag is a dry waxed, but you can wax it if you like. The Material is a Waxed Nylon.

Its a dry wax, so none that I have used so far.

1 question that wood waxed material is 500D cordura nylon too? or is other material? it is water resistant?

Its a waxed Nylon. I have been out in snow and not had issues, but I wouldn't go out in a huge rain.
