Enjoyed it thoroughly. A pinch of cowboys salt reminding me of good old western movies of my youth starring Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda and Burt Lancaster. 9/10

Great ending! None of the 3 in the end really wanted the money. Gally got what he needed, a grandfather's respect & love. Now he can go out & take on the world! The old man & the girl got each other, which is all they really wanted, a life with somebody for each who respects their compassion & their dream. The money ain't important,but it's gotta go somewhere. Vaya con Dios.

I always get interested in a Duvall movie. Just his rough character portrayal, i guess. I guess if was such a person, which I am not, that's imaginative for me. Cause I've known a few similar. Among older men.

Trees are not big enough for the house to be in the family as long as they talked. I Know for I had to sell 3rd gen land because the school, county and city want the place as to put homes that would pay more taxes than farm land. We were taxed off the place. They had the EPA, CPS, SPCA etc knocking on our door monthly. Got broken into 3 times and nothing came of it. Had a tractor burned and nothing came of it We had live oaks that my grandfather plated when he first got the place. 3 of me could not wrap around them and the limbs went to the ground. Pecan trees almost as big...Now nothing but streets and small houses
