I noticed when you used two disconnectors for the red cable for the bow light I understand, but does that other quick disconnect wire have to be a positive wire like copper or a negative like aluminum? My switch has a copper side and aluminum side that needs to match.

I've always thought a windlass is simply a winch for lifting heavy weights (like anchors) and that on a boat there are many types/options including a drum winch or the modern winch with or without a capstan. So what i'm saying is a drum winch is a windlass if it's lifting a heavy load such as an anchor.
