im looking for a small mixer, i have the apollo solo and a MOTU M2, plan on sending the Apollo back because really all the M2 needs is a way to headphone mix. I am doing country, do you think this is a good fit for my setup ?

Finally what I've been looking for. I have the Mackie Fx6v3. I need it for open mics held through Zoom using an acoustic instrument. Did you record through your Daw? How did we hear it here on YT? Did you play it through your speakers? Sorry I'm a newbie. Any help you can give or anyone is much appreciated. Thanks.

My mixer doesn’t have a USB interface so I plugged the output into a line in on my interface and recorded through my DAW. I think yours has an interface so you can connect directly to computer and record with your DAW.

Hello there, Thank you for great demo video, voice and song....and taking advantage of you experience I would like to know if it is possible to connect this console to passive speakers without the interface that you connected it to? Greetings!
@johnhoolihan9452

You would have to connect it to an amplifier and then to passive speakers. Or directly to powered speakers with built in amplifier.

Nice informative video! I have a pickup microphone mounted on my acoustic guitar which is connected to an amp. What do I need to output the microphone and guitar into the same amp?
@johnhoolihan9452
@johnhoolihan9452 Жыл бұрын
Plug the acoustic pickup into channel 1 of the Mackie mixer and you will need to press the "Hi Z" button in order to match the high impedance of the acoustic pickup. (NOTE: Acoustic guitars with builtin pickup systems have small preamps so the "Hi Z" setting is not needed). Connect the XLR cable of the microphone to channel 2 of the Mackie mixer. Connect the MAIN out of the mixer to the input of the amplifier.

Picking close to the bridge is important...and also turning the bass controls way down.
@greg6162
@greg6162 Жыл бұрын
I just bought a Fender Player Plus Olympic White and while it’s not a LP as a new player using a Roland Micro Cube GX solid state 3w amp I can come pretty close to the tone… I noticed picking more towards the bridge pickup gives it that twangy bass reverb kinda sound. I’m a complete beginner really only practicing a total of 21/days straight and you are spot on about the picking location on the bridge! I’m looking to upgrade my practice amp to the Yamaha THR10ii that has a 3/band-EQ which think will help me dial in my tones better on top of having all the modeling amps I can get dial in almost any tone with that setup. Obviously Heavy metal will be a challenge but with the noiseless pickups on this new Fender it’s actually better than I expected. That Yamaha amp for a beginner practice setup really is everything I need at this point. I just learned to play Day Tripper without looking at my guitar standing up which blew my mind?! I thought it would take a year for me to achieve that

Hello John! Will it work if you add Bass Guitar on chanel 3? Thanks! 🤘
@johnhoolihan9452
@johnhoolihan9452 Жыл бұрын
Hi there. If the bass guitar does NOT have active pickups you will have to plug it into the Hi Z input on channel 1 same as an electric guitar. If it has active pickups, you can probably plug it into channel 2, 3, or 4.

Sounds good. A bit more drive on the TS may help it 'sing' a bit more like suggested humbuckers for that part. Good work. Does the CE3 have a noticably different tone to the CE2? ...would love a 2 but theyre so expensive now.
