Just bought this reel Academy had it for a father's day special for 99.00... I had a brand-new Duckett rod at home I haven't used it's called the Green Ghost.. 7'3 heavy fast lol as you probably know it paired very well.. gunna take her out this weekend... Can't wait.

Mine is holding up great. Still by far my favorite. My gf snapped the rod so I went up to the 7’6 and love it even more.

This review is way off base first of favorite rods are high quality rods I own this combo and for the money it’s a great combo I’ve caught hundreds of fish On it been using it for two years still works like new you can’t expect much more for 60$

I'm a new owner of a Catch 120 and know how stable it is but realize how important it is to have a PFD on at ALL times no matter how deep the water. Sadly folks without life jackets die way too often. It really just common sense and something you should teach your children.

Lews is rebranded cloned stuff. It is the over priced junk you get from walmart or dicks. A 10 dollar rod and a 40 dollar reel is equal or better than a lews combo.

Today is 12-05-2020, and I just found a “secret clearance” on these at my local Walmart! They were $9.00 per combo!! Came to KZbin to find some reviews on them, but for $9.00 can’t beat it!

Вітання вам з України (батьківщина торгівельної марки Skif). Судячи з того що із коробки ваш ніж погано відкривається, то у вас Adventure першого покоління. Зараз уся лінійка ножів оновилася. Покращилась сталь клинків, також замість шайб встановлено підшипники. Тепер ножі справді фліпують.

I totally agree with you about the rod. I own the Lews Mach 2 med/heavy fast action rod and can fish most any lures on it with ease. I paired mine with the Lews Speed Spool LFS SS1HA Reel. The gear ratio is only a 6.8.1 but it's a true workhorse of a reel and casts long and smooth. That's why I chose the Speed Spool LFS Reel over the Mach 2 baitcaster reel. Bottom line, the MACH 2 Rod used with the Speed Spool Reel makes a great (highly versatile) combo for top water, mid channel, and bottom fishing. Can't beat that for a GoTo combo! Well balanced too! VERY HAPPY WITH BOTH.

I have 2 H20 Express Ethos HD 7'4 heavy action rods from Academy $69 for Saltwater with tag still on them but thinking about bringing them back and get 2 lews 7'4 heavy action rods... I dont want to break the bank but I have 50lb Bull Redfish to catch! Scared it might break.. just trying to decide if I should keep my H20 or get Lews Mach 2..
