I’m here after seeing the interview by Nate Garrett. I’m curious as to why Jon’s ex bandmates didn’t rejoin the band? I remember him saying he wanted likeminded individuals for the rebirth, so did that mean the exbandmates wanted nothing to do with him? I’m also curious as to why Erik Danielsson took over bass duties in Dissection? I subscribed and look forward to more content!
@briceleclercq10117 күн бұрын
Thanks for passing by the channel, taking the time to subcribe & leave a comment Richard! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Well I'm going to give you the answer Jon used to give to the medias, the band had splitted & had no line up prior to the prison time. Plus, Jon wanted to take the band to the next level with the Rebirth era. That's why he decided to hire new guys, me being one of them... When it comes to Eric (even if I wasn't there anymore...), Watain opened for us on the european tour plus he was very good friend with Set. At first, they replaced me with a norwegian bass player but it didn't work out & it didn't last long so they decided to go with a session player instead from what I know... I hope that it answers your questions man & don't forget to check my new band FROM KAOS as well: studio.kzbin.info/door/z7UxBePNkE1-s-PxTz-XpA

@briceleclercq10129 күн бұрын
Thanks for the support & for leaving a comment Roeland!🤘🤘🤘 I remember that gig, yes, good one!... Well, I left DISSECTION because I didn't agree on the main business choices, label, manager or producer, studio etc... Mainly, they wanted to release the album on their own & I believed it would have been better for ex to sign with a label at the time. Plus, none of us were business minded enough in my opinion and their company went bankrupt after a year or so.... Don't forget to subscribe if you want to know about new releases/covers.... Man. You have to be a bass teacher's worst nightmare. 1st playing with a pick and 2nd choking that neck. LOL. I play like you do so I am not a bass snob. Definately one of the best bass covers I have ever seen on youtube.
@briceleclercq101Ай бұрын
Haha Thanks a lot man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Well, I can easily tell you that I don't give a rat's ass about what a teacher would think of me playing with a pick or how I'm holding my neck ;-) Sure, it might not be the convotionnal way of doing it but Van Halen or Hendrix didn't give a s**t about that kind of things either & they changed music for ever. Funny enough, I also teach bass myself and I always encourage my students to play on real music, with feel & atitude and also to play with what they feel most comfortable with!
@daveweed2765Ай бұрын
@briceleclercq101 Gotcha on the Rat's Ass. Like all the folks focused on the name on the headstock. When I played guitar it was Gibson and mostly Epis. I could buy 3 Epi SGs or LesPauls for the price of a Gibson. That gives me more extras and different tunings at gigs. Now I play bass so its Fenders and Stingrays and at gigs total Squiers and SBMM.
