Hey I have a doubt that the pure hydrogen burns then what's the colour of the flame???? as I have seen many videos stating that hydrogen is burning with the yellow flame but I know that hydrogen burns with the blue flame.... Can you please explain me why, it's my request ,,,,, please.....

I appreciate that you are performing experiments for educational purposes but 🙏pls DON’T THROW Na metal in lake as produces NaOH which could be harmful.😞

Nice, from start to finish, with multiple experiments. I like that you used the term "win" for the electrolysis.

The first time you fire the furnace up, take your time to make sure any water is evaporated from the fire clay. After that you can increase the heating rate. I believe it took about 30-40mins when I ran but I was cautious as I didn't want to risk cracking the pot or damaging the heating element.

I want to do this with a new 5k btu window ac unit for my computer servers and network. The room is near our AC return it sucks the hot air out makes my large 4 ton unit cycle a lot the heat coming from these computers. I was thinking a tiny AC unit right where the source of the heat should fix the problem same me some money. The key is not having to spend lot of money on a regular mini split I don't really need a large unit anyway.

I found sodium hydroxide as an ingredient in cooling system flush additive and decided to check what can happen with my aluminum block engine. After this video I am not sure if it is safe to pour this additive in the engine.

if you put aluminium inside a plastic sodabottle, pour sodium hydroxide in and quickly close the cap, it will explode.

I did this on accident today. Tried to use a pie pan as an evaporation dish for an hot, concentrated alkaline solution. I had used it the day prior to evaporate a cold solution of potash with no problems. I figured I was safe 🤣 I had no idea what was going on lol.

Would using round wire increase the light output of the filament part of the bulb.
@EnergyMaterials
@EnergyMaterials 6 ай бұрын
A wound wire of a good length of round wire as apposed to the dog bone shape used in the video would give you a longer wire length, so yes, more light, but if the cross sectional area was the same as what was used in this demo then a higher voltage would be required to drive the same amount of current through the wire due to the increased resistance by the longer length of wire by coiling.

We use hydrogen for inner atmosphere to avoid stainless steels wire surface oxidation using ammonia cracker plant. H gas is passed through ss 310 grade pipes using coupling. wire is passed through pipe and furnace temperature is maintained at 1050 deg C is the heat treatment temperature of ss wire. SS wire grades used are 304, 316 etc.. before heat treatment wire surface contain sodium and calcium lubricant on surface which is cleaned using mild sulphuric acid and further rinsed with water dryed and pass through pipe in furnace. Always flame colour is golden yellowish the wire surface is ok. Some time pinkish the wire surface turns blackesh or yellowish. SIR can get explanation on this please help.

Would you be willing to revisit your experiment on direct hydrogen iron reduction? Your video is about the only example on the internet except for others claiming it isn't possible. I know it is possible but I was surprised by how fast the reaction happened at what looked like a relatively low heat. If you do decide to try this, may I suggest using a trusted source of magnetite as your input material. I'm hoping doing so will disprove any claims that metallic iron isn't being achieved. If you start with magnetite and and get water formation within the test tube, that should be a pretty good indicator of metallic iron formation.

Thank you for posting this demonstration. It turns out that this concept is sometimes used to enhance the extraction of iron ore by changing the oxidation state ( and magnetic properties) at mines. It is also being heavily studied as a method of fully reducing iron oxides to refined iron vs using CO based reduction in Europe.
