I’m so glad you read and liked the Library of Shadows! I loved the spooky atmosphere too. Out of all of the fall themed books I read last month that was my favorite one! I read Over My Dead Body last year and loved the art but I wanted the story to be more fleshed out and longer. It felt like it focused 100% of the story on the conflict so the characters didn’t really get fleshed out.

I read this a few months ago! I was going to give it 4 stars until the last 100 pages made me go down to a 2 😭 I was just so frustrated by Lee, his character felt so different in the end. It just made no sense to me that all of his depth got taken away and what made him him was just gone. I was just so frustrated by that and that he didn’t protect Wren at the end and instead was like protecting someone he didn’t even know. The ending also just felt totally incomplete so I kinda do want to read the sequel hoping it would be better.

The end was definitely to much in the end in The pumpkin Spice café 😅 And Logan is so not mr Grumpy 😉

I just read The Library of Shadows by this author! I loved the setting it was so perfect for fall since it’s mostly set in a haunted library! I really want to read Us In Ruins too. It sounds good!

I’ve been eyeing this book for a while but haven’t gotten to it yet, as I can’t quite decide whether to dabble into the audiobook or ebook. Watching your video has sparked up my excitement again and I might use my upcoming audible credit to get the audiobook first 👀

Aw I would have been disconnected too when the book didn’t show the relationship growing and just skipped months. I felt the same way when reading The Daughter of the Moon Goddess, I liked the beginning but not the time jumps

I LOVED this book!! Glad to see it get more love! Also a 5 star read for me! I rarely find books in YA where I don’t get annoyed by things and this one was a great balance for me I enjoyed it from start to end

I found so let them burn a tiny bit frustrating, I can’t point out why. I think I found the prose a letdown with very weird phrasings at time , and the romance and a lot of the magic was rushed for me. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5 so I’m similar to you. My disappointment was more cuz I had high expectations for it rather than a fault of the author, Kamilah Cole deserved all the success and I’m grateful to CC for introducing me to her and launching her into fame 🤣 Agreed that Elara >>> Faron though I think Faron was well written as a character (she was convincing as the bratty type) I also liked her romance a lot because that’s the kind of romantic archetype I enjoy but I think it needed to be a slower burn . I just need to be fully invested before the romance happens

Here cuz I saw Spin of Fate in the thumbnail!! I’m glad ur enjoying it so far! I don’t watch Naruto but I’ve heard ppl say the trio is similar in vibes and stuff . I hope u enjoy the rest of the book it’s my fav release this year.. though warning with slight spoilers is that it ends with a cliffhanger and isn’t the happiest ending! But it’s 1st in a trilogy and so I have my hope it’ll get happier (Also don’t trust the official marketing, it’s terrible and does a disservice to this book. The author said they haven’t even read the books that the publisher compared their own book to)

I just finished the book and gave it 4 stars! I really enjoyed most of it and wish I could have the sequel right now. I now want to read something similar 😊 the ending left me sad though because I expected more closure.

Hi! I’m reading this right now, I’m on page 31. I really like the descriptive writing style but I’m wishing there was more dialogue. I’m hoping there will be more soon because I usually don’t like books where there’s a lot of inner dialogue and then the dialogue between characters is really short

I just read this and loved it too! I’m happy to hear you loved it, I haven’t heard many people talk about this book yet. Royo and Aeri were my favorites as well! I loved that we got 3 different romances to root for and how the author slowly showed us their thoughts about each other and the anticipation of those thoughts getting revealed to the other characters. ❤ I thought the book was really good and interesting. It’s been a few days and I still don’t want to read anything else because all I want to read is the sequel!

omg I just got Somewhere in the Deep and haven't seen anyone else but me mention it! I read Monsters Born & Made last year and had so much fun with it. I don't care that I'm well above the YA demographic .. there are still really good YA books out there! I am planning on reading a few cave horror/cave adventure books around the same time (hopefully in May) but I could not help myself and read the first chapter of Somewhere in the Deep. OMG I had a nightmare about that creature that night.. I'd say that is a success ! 🤭

Aw the crafts you made were so cute!! They go so well with the book. I agree the characters had really good growth in the book. I really liked it but I wanted more time seeing the characters be together at the end after the conflict was resolved, I kind of wish there was a sequel even though the book wrapped up really well.

I spent 2 years in a row doing a "Christmas reading challenge". I tried to read every Christmas book that turned up in the local supermarket. It was a huge mistake. There were a couple enjoyable books but most of it was so so bad and I can't remember any of the names because they all had super similar generic Christmas names. Not sure why I did it really
