I think the reason why TVB made more alterations to Gu Long adaptations is because, unlike Jin Yong, Gu Long LOVE the improvisation of his novels. Jin Yong hates when the adaptation altered the novels a lot

This was a classic for me too. TVB today just uploaded the full series in canto today. That ending, though. WTF? I guess I didn't finish it when I was kid but wow, what the hell were the writers thinking?

That’s because the series is the first of a trilogy. The second part is ‘General Father, General Son’ in 1985 starring Felix Wong. The final story was ‘Destined to Rebel’ in 1986 starring Sean Lau. The songs to those series are on my channel also

你好，我希望你做出 “ 狂龍 ”, “ 人鬼狐 ” 的主題曲與插曲，也很感謝你做的 “ 神劍魔刀 ” 與 “ 鄭成功 ”，我都是現在才知道，連 TVB 也已把這些劇下架，我只好去買盜版....其實我也想有畫質佳的正版買，但是無奈，你不難猜出我喜歡的是誰？遺憾她的劇太少了，在 ATV 時不受重用沒代表作，轉回 TVB 又是青春花旦一大把，但總算整體製作品質優，演到幾齣好戲，後幾部又做回溫柔女子，有這樣一個形像讓人記得也不枉了.
