Forgetting You Is Like Forgetting Me (忘掉你像忘掉我) by Faye Wong (王菲) - Bride With White Hair II (白髮魔女2)

Translating "Forgetting You Is Like Forgetting Me" (忘掉你像忘掉我) from the film Bride With White Hair 1993 (白髮魔女2).

Having translated the song by Leslie Cheung for the Bride With White Hair, I thought it only fair to also translate the lovely song by Faye Wong for Bride With White Hair 2.
The sequel was directed by Danny Wu (胡大為). Whilst Ronny Yu (于仁泰), who directed the first film, was credited as one of the writers of the script. The sequel, I'll say uses the two main characters and elements of the novel "Baifa Monü Zhuan" by writer Liang Yusheng (梁羽生). However, it is a complete stand alone 'fanfic' that takes place after the events of the novel.
Leslie Cheung (張國榮) and Brigitte Lin (林青霞) returned to reprise their roles. However, Leslie's role was minor with Brigitte being the film's main villain. Her character deteriorated to being a full on feminist and lesbian. I'll leave it at that. New characters were introduced played by the likes of Sunny Chan (陳錦鴻), Christy Chung (鍾麗緹), Joey Meng (萬綺雯), and Lily Chung (鍾淑慧) to name a few.
It was an enjoyable film to the extent that you switch off the brain and not think too much about it... I had to laugh at how they made someone like Lily Chung look really ugly in this film, LOL.
