One of most supberb voices on radio , I listened to Simon on radio one every weekday morning back in the early 80s, his way of telling a story on Our Tune was so brilliantly done ...great memories even though there were a number of sad & ever so tearful moments, there was still a great number of uplifting true stories

It is seen, even now, all these years later, as a weakness to admit you cannot cope and to what degree, to ask for help from someone that has helped so much, recently we had the covid times and suicide was happening far more, hopelessness is a killer, your mind is not NOT your friend, the sister is an overcomer, far stronger than most people, she will be fine, and her poor husband having to find brother hanging there, knowing he has to go back to his wife who has been through soooo much already, I hope they are very much still as one.

Funny isnt it, before being born Sammy chose her life challenges, but knew that although she would not shine for long, she shone incredible bright and had a wonderful father, but her suffering ended, I hope Rob understood that

Im 55 i used to listen to our tune on radio one at 10.30 on our morning break in senior school! (1981/1986) This took me back filled me with emotion at the story and remebering my life at that time!

I actually gravitate more to the older ‘Our Tune’ in the 80s/90s than the more recent ones on Smooth, although I do listen to them also. The older, slightly tinny sound, just feels like a time capsule in my life to when I was 14 when I became aware of this right after Simon Mayo’s show on Radio 1.

Wow I've not heard this since my first ever job in 1990. My bosses radio in the van while I was helping him fit garage doors. I was 15 years old and would give absolutely anything to go back to those days.

The Our tune is one of the only radio programs that brought most offices and work places to a standstill. It was so sad, but also so meaningful with the stories of those that were involved. The Our tune is legendary, and was such a big part of growing up in the 80's and 90's. 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

Yeah, either Our Tune or something different than the current boring music programme. They’re wasting his talents by having him read from scripts then play a couple of songs.
