POV: When your city is so broke that you have to ask state for funds over an $8 million parking garage
@22408aaron5 күн бұрын
This is on top of the state having to pay $2.6 million to demolish a large hotel that the city can't afford to tear down or force the owner to tear it down himself. www.12onyourside.com/2022/08/23/demolition-beginning-blighted-petersburg-ramada-inn/#:~:text=With%20the%20help%20of%20%242.6%20million%20in%20funding%20from%20the%20General%20Assembly

Starting a new comment thread for this to boost its visibility, but I believe the reason for this batch of pulls ending up outside of BluePoint’s closed distribution is due to a minor labeling error. Documentation and previous batches that made it into collectors hands all say “BluePoint Alert Solutions”, but this batch says “BluePoint Alert Solution”. I could be wrong as to the reason why these made it out, but the labeling on ours are definitely wrong.

That’s crazy unsafe that the door opens like that when the elevator is up, how do you prevent someone being crushed with a system like that? Like if someone pushed down while someone’s trying to get to the basement
@22408aaron15 күн бұрын
The 'elevator shaft' is really just a stairwell down to the basement; and the bottom of the cab (you can see at 4:09) is a pad that acts as a sensor. When it gets pushed in (by someone's head), it'll stop the elevator.

Why did it look uneven in the spicer when it finished splicing? Most other splicing videos the fibers appear perfectly aligned.

Thanks to you, I was able to replace the bulb in my mom's 2011 Ford Escape. I couldn't find any info in the owner's manual so I called the dealership to see if there is actually a bulb to replace. They told me no. But then a year later I asked MY mechanic and he pulled up your video and I said "I KNEW there had to be a bulb". She is so thankful to not have to turn on her overhead light when she has to back up. The only issue was the bulb I pulled said it was 12V 2W, the 2171 is 12V 1.2W- not sure what the correct bulb is with higher wattage, but at least she can see it. Thank you so much!

Either my phone is not discovering my TFTP server or it simply refuses to reset. I have tried numerous times turning off the power, pressing and holding the pound sign, and typing in the number sequence but it always boots before I finish and I am not sure if I have successfully reseted it. What is the issue?

Great to see yet another enthusiast managed to grab one of these. I also got one of these and can answer a few questions. All these style pulls are made by the System Sensor division of Honeywell, hence the SSD. There are indeed both wired and wireless versions, the wired version being the BP-PS-101P. It does indeed say FIRE under that sticker, and it is white as well. As for the shoddy way of getting the wires into the pull, there are versions of this style pull that have a hole for an additional switch or wires. This hole would be on the flat part just below the melted hole. There is the Fire-Lite BG-12LPS which has a momentary toggle switch for general alarm, and the Gamewell(-FCI) MS95-L series, which is a BG-12 style MS-95 pull station. Why BluePoint went through the trouble of melting the pull station when they could have just commissioned one that has a pre-existing hole is beyond me.
@22408aaron25 күн бұрын
Thank you for the insight. Did you sacrifice one of these to confirm the fire labeling? That would be quite interesting to see.
@HenBasketFireAlarms9 күн бұрын
@@22408aaronyes and no; I carefully peeled the label off just enough to confirm and reapplied it immediately after to prevent it from losing its stickiness.
