Pastor, the church lost it's way of really good preaching & teaching years ago after you retired & when you retired, I retired as well & no longer attend church because frankly, it's gotten way too corporate & works based with no preaching on God's Amazing Grace !!!

Time 7:33 ...it was so good to hear ofDL Moody “bribing” children! ...as I have been known to do that, also. It so encouraging to think that God had instructed me in similar way. :) Recently, I’ve been listening to audio readings of Moody, Spurgeon, Tolzer, and others’ “old time” sermons. What a Blessing! These days, many topics being shied away from. Seems, now a day Christians, and their churches’ preaching and teaching, are missing out on so many Scriptural truths. Kind of sad. I so grateful to God for leaving us His most ever alive BOOK! Scriptures are never boring! To read for three decades and still regularly find something anew! Always exciting! ...and often reading re time written, for current days, and future! And for much of Scripture......this is future! Scripture for this generation so exciting, as we can understand many things other generations couldn’t even guess at! May God continue to bless His Word...and bring more and more to saving knowledge on Jesus! During time of Tribulation, when Jesus returns to big focus on His elect, the nation of Israel...may many of His people remember and continue to study their Scriptures. May they read anew the OT filled with prophecies, ..of Tribulation instructions, warnings....and of Jesus their Messiah.....much more.... ...some to be protected and God to care for them with “food as was their forefathers”...some to endure even unto death. During this most awful time to come, may God infuse His believing Jews, and believing gentiles, with His all enduring strength. Besides sacrificing His only Begotten Son on the cross for the sins of the world, to all who would Believe.... to me, one of clearest evidences of God’s love...is the continuing, repeated opportunities Revelation shows He gives to the world to repent....this evil, evil world. Please, Lord Jesus..please come back soon! In Your perfect timing, yes. Still I pray, come back soon!
