I hear you. For me, I prefer to leave my art for me and use my other projects to generate support to keep my studio open. I've sold more artwork of mine through exterior studio projects than inviting people into my work directly. Never thought that would be the result.

You do that so well too. I have thought that the new non-profit will allow us to support ourselves outside the studio, but man, we need something now. The summer has been dismal, and the non-profit may take years to reach that level of success. Spending time thinking about what the people need who DO buy our art, seems like time well spent.

Thanks Stacy, fingers crossed. Bogdan and I do everything together, so it feels strange to separate our marketing efforts, but I do think it represents us better. Hope you guys are well.

Thanks so much, it's one of my favorites. I'm doing one like it that is about 5x4 feet, but painting a zillion flowers wasn't such a good idea after all. I'm exhausted.

I use a spary varnish between layers on the face so the material below doesn't mix and the washes of colors float above one another.
