You both have excellent professions working in healthcare, there will always be a need for both those jobs, I retired around the beginning of the pandemic after working over forty years as a histotechnologist working closely with pathologists, a fascinating field. Jillian I stayed home with my 3 children and my husband of 51yrs took care of us. He always said being a full time Mom is the hardest job and so rewarding. We wanted to make sure our children were raised by us and no one else. Blake you have a great job and I give you a lot of credit working a full time job and coming home and from what I see you’re a full time dad. You both work so hard for everything you have. I’m so proud of both of you! Will keep praying everything works out to buy the new home and God sends a buyer for your current home. Good to hear from ya'll. We got here in Missouri Freezing rain and a blizzard today. Most snow than we have had in a long time. ---- Hey just wanted to say hey sista/medical friends. I am a RN as well. Recovery room. Sister RN buddies have worked both Native Alaska hospital and Regional. First time I was in Alaska, was December of 1990- she worked at the old Native Alaska Hospital downtown Anchorage. In fact, I fell for Soldotna myself--- the McDonalds there had pictures on the wall of my favorite Nature artist Bev Doolittle back in 1990. Have a friend in Soldotna that lives there now. ... not sure if you remember me or not, but it was when you first bought your property with the vintage Airstream on it. Not going to take the all the credit, but I told you that the airstream was a treasure. Sorry to see it took a hit from a tree. :( Be well. And maybe one of these days I'll spend the summer driving buses up in Denali. It's the only wish I have still left on my bucket list.

Excited for your new adventure, the new place sounds awesome! I would love to be off grid. With my chickens and ducks and heating their house and heaters to keep water plus my house, I spend over 350. a month in electric. It just might be more feasible in my future to go off grid.

I love your family and videos. Great plans for the future. Jillian it is hard to be a stay-at-home mom. So much work doing it all and your social life disappears especially where you are. While Blake helps a lot, when he is working it's all on you. I've been there with my children and grandchildren.

Being off grid is amazing. We have been off grid (solar, batteries and generator backup) since 2020. Our family loves it. I wish you all the best in purchasing your new home and being off grid.
