This is kind of disappointing. Writer must have understood that he can not pull "talk no jutsu" at 13:17. So instead, he went for "woohoo, friendship = godlike power" kinda thing. I mean, Acnologia is immune to magic. What difference does it make if Natus has 7 times more dragon "magic" against him? Theoretically nothing, practically everything.

I could have had Natsu using his demonic powers as E.N.D to have a good fight against Acnologia in the end, but no, he has to have the "Power of my companions' feelings" lol. The only "appearance" of Natsu's demonic powers was thrown away against that clown Gray, it's a shame.

Acnologia defeated by the power of friendship, that bullshit they wasted an awesome character just for the power of damn friendship, in my POV I think the writer or author whatsoever didn't think well or maybe he didn't know how to defeat acnologia, So he come up with that damn idea.

Potentially hot take - Acnologia should've died in Tartaros. He spends this whole arc being teleported far away so he doesn't interfere, only to be tacked onto the end of the story after a really good conclusion to Zeref's story. Some of the conversations in this fight are very good, but overall he adds very little to the arc and his defeat doesn't feel as big as it should. At least if Igneel had killed him at the same time he died, Acnologia would've have gone out as the badass, unknowable dragon he always was and not... this.
