Im so glad I finally found these videos, I've been trying to find mods to replace creature combat animations for weeks and no matter how hard i tried to Rephrase i wouldn't get even the slightest hint of what i was looking for. Revenant, Death Knight, Gravelord: The revenant could dual wield (basically a dead berserker), The death knight power bashes and power attacks, and the gravelord can use shouts and two-handed. I think that would be cool

So the first step for me is not to install the pluggin. The first step is to figure out how you even got to that point. I have the nif pluggin and of course can import all that stuff but I am missing something.

looks ridiculus, lmao. For some weird reason you animated fast and fluied footwork. While hand movement have neither force or straight direction. Those attacks have not enough amplitude in it. Vanilla much better.

Sounds like Hjartulv have seen draugr’s irl. Ridiculous is fair though I don’t think so. Preferring vanilla also fair. The rest, not very constructive. Love the Skyrim community and all modders keeping the game alive. Thanks!

@@mongerhxh lmao. Not constructive because of what? I don't need to see real life draugr to understand consistency. Your magical undead can't be half perfect in martial arts and a half not. Also attacks just not readable enough or fast for any mco movesets. This is exactly constructive criticism and praising everything just because someone made it by himself- it's not. And for god sake, paywalled it. Distar said himself, he don't know anything about lore. And frankly his animation usually far behind other modders. Hand movement clunky, and feels more like zombie from old 2007 game. Draugr in TES lore or Scandinavian - dead warrior fueled by ancient curse. Magical being don't need brain or tissue to move and attack. Vanilla draugr is clearly undead and slow, but their attacks is a real threat. Their Attacks are wide, realistic, with great momentum. Big and slow wide wind-up end up with fast swing. Precise attack with clear mastery and accuracy. Those are not draugr. Those are Zombie. And draugr are not zombie

@@Hjartulv The reason why I'm going for this type of draugr and making archetypes, is exactly because of this. When I asked, nobody agreed on what the draugr are and we don't know if the decay actually affects them or not, and if it does, to which degre. For instance, even the scandinavian Draugr, are very different from the TES ones; I have been told I could take inspiration from them, then that I should not. I decided to take inspiration from the Dark Souls hollow, which some people said was good, some said it wasn't. I have been referenced God of War and the Northmen, I watched other descriptions of the Draugr and they are all wildly different Ultimately, the TES Draugr, are supposed to retain their human style, thus they fight like nords while being maybe completely rotten, maybe midly rotten or maybe not rotten at all. I've seen this argument of magic affecting or not their ability to move despite being in a decaying body; and yet again nobody agrees Instead of having a regular creature fighting seemingly like humans, I decided it was preferable to take some liberties since it was going to be controversial anyway, and have some creatures that actually do feel different After for your appreciation of the animations, well it's yours, I can live with that. Considering your poor judgement in regards to animations I do not value your opinion a lot I have to admit ^^

@@SkyrimGuild someone will be arguing all the time. There is clear description of draugr fighting style in vanilla animations, and it's Canon. Also it clearly stated in game, those are magic beings and they dony really using heart to move around. You should improve on basic anims, not making assumptions of lore based on someone thoughts and theory. Also isn't good research equal good animations? I did not invent that. I don't ask you to listen to my opinion or validate it. But being toxic just because I didn't like what you do its part of the problem.

Thanks. I will probably do an in game showcase once I have at least one complete archetype. Since the release is so partial atm it’s easier for me to make a render so I can show the entire moveset with a decent setup, instead of fighting with the game to get some proper footage

Well the Dark Souls assets belong to From Software so surely it is possible to import and use them personally but publishing them probably wouldn’t be allowed
