Wait, so in order to make my own animations, I need to get the annotation files from vanilla or someone's animation mod? I don't think modder would be willing to give away annotations just for our personal editing.

Yeah my bad, I forgot to remove some functionnalities that were supposed to just be tests from the code (in your case, your armature needs to be named "armature". It's a piece of code I took somewhere and forgot to adapt it)

So the first step for me is not to install the pluggin. The first step is to figure out how you even got to that point. I have the nif pluggin and of course can import all that stuff but I am missing something.

Not sure where to ask, but I'm having issues with Mike's rig. When opening the .Blend file the rig itself is in the rest position but the mesh itself is bent and floating away from the rig. If I open the blend file directly there's no problem, but if I open it through Blender the problem persists. I'd have no problem doing that way but I lose all my workspace layouts. Edit: Nevermind, opening the file directly presents entirely different issues.

I am using MaleV5-3.blend. My feet don't come off the ground when I move in object mode, how should I use this addon?

Don't use the Male v5.3, it's old and outdated. Use Mike's rig instead

Hmmmm unfortunately I have never dealt with Maya at all and probably won't. It's too costly and realisticly for something that is a hobby for most, it is not possible

Do you guys happen to have the blender file on this video that I can use? I tried implementing your annotations onto the mike's rigs Blender file but all it did was make my control rig unusable

Hmmmmm wtf. I will need to inspect that. What happened exactly, how did it become unusable ? All it does is add some useless bones linked to nothing

@@SkyrimGuild What happened was, I followed the instructions on 3:46 . It was meant to remove the outdated bone data so I can import the bone data that's from the download link. But instead of just deleting the bone data, it deleted the entire skeleton. Now luckily the Mike's Rigs file comes with a spare, clean skeleton rig, which I duplicated and imported the annotation with. All that was left was for me to reassign parts of the mesh onto the new armature, as well as applying the existing rig controls.
