The entire country has a reckoning coming soon! Not just aviation! IMHO, Y'all have it easy! If you want a real challenge... come fly Medevac! The smells are good too! Oh that sweet Sweet smell of fecal matter + ironized blood while someone's dumping their bowels, trying to die on your med crew. Puke/covid coughs in your face... all fair game! At the same time any or all of this is going on, ATC is asking, "Can you take a vector to get a rich expensive corporate jet in first?" NO! MEDEVAC!!!! ... and now we're Medevac CRITICAL - does that mean ANYTHING anymore!!!??? GET US ON THE GROUND NOW!!! NJ's sounds like a CAKE WALK, especially if y'all are getting 6 hours of sleep every night, and getting paid twice as much as us, WHILST having 2 pilots to share the workload- NOT having to do everything in 20 minutes from a dead sleep at 0200? I average 2-3 hrs sleep per day, and I haven't been able to sleep through the night in over 3 years, even on off days. Come fly Medevac, we'll make a REAL man outta you yet! Then you will, like I am about to do, go RUNNING to NJ's! Looks like with the new payscale from May 1, 2024, starting at NJ's is roughly 50% more pay than starting over somewhere like Delta/United/Fed Ex. ... just sayin'!

I recruited a pilot from a well-known private jet charter company. This pilot, in his late 40s , was terribly mistreated and abused by the wipe your feet on me, red carpet, beck and call class mentality [CEO’s, owners and the rich brats that fly in these charter companies]. The only important people are the owners of the Jets and the people who fly private. No one else is taken care of, as it is all going to a more worldly system. I can assure you it is always about the money [follow the money], it will always be for those at the top [Like owners]. When I took in this man that I recruited to fly for me, I accepted his wife and three kids. I believe that I did a great service. I rescued him and his family, which is the most important thing. He only flies 10 times a year, 5 times for me and my family privately, and 5 times for my church missions. I pay him a salary of $375,000 a year and it’s well worth it to me. His oldest child is now grown and has just become a pilot like his father. I hope that he will take his Dad‘s place for me when his Dad is ready to retire. He has plenty of time to live his life with his family. I own several plantations and several companies., so I’m very blessed financially, and I would never treat anybody like these pilots have been treated. I believe that people have lives, and I believe in investing in their life. I hope that these Net Jet pilots get snatched up by someone like me.👍🏼✝️🙏❤️‼️

Younger pilots and low seniority pilots should be leaving instead of complaining while pilot hiring is hot elsewhere. Longer you wait to leave for greener pastures the lower your new seniority number will be at the next company.

I am not a pilot yet but I am part of a Union. Who in their right mind signs a 10 year contract?? I understand netjets has to do better on their end. However, the union has to have some more sense and foresight next contract negotiation.

Coming from a regional, an acquaintance was only too happy to fly for NetJets. Within two years, he's already a captain. He receives the best benefits a pilot can ask for - first class travel, accommodations and other high-valued perks - with usually a 7 days on, 7 dasy off schedule. He loves the challenge and the full support from the NetJets team especially if he gets fatigued - they are top notch management. But best of luck for those NetJets pilots that seek higher wages - I'm not a pilot so I cannot put myself in your place, but I understand why you may have grievances. I tell my NetJets pilot friend - keep your job - there's no other pilot position like it in the world. I come from a Part 121 airline background so there's some verification here.

Listen, I understand the need for a pay increase and support pay increases but NJASP literally rejected a 52% pay increase! Sorry but no sympathy when you reject such a massive pay increase especially when your contract which you agreed to runs out by 2029. I just see a bunch of angry children that they arent getting paid massive wages for running a charter operation.

This is the 4th time the union has entered interim bargaining with NJ before the contract expired. This is nothing new. The mantra was that we’d always revisit things every few years and never be in full contact negotiations again. However, they’ve now decided to switch gears and ask for concessions during a true pilot shortage when everyone else is getting huge increases. How do they expect to make that work into the future??

Someone once told me this: “Your pilot is the one true totally dedicated professional. If you have a legal problem that goes badly, your lawyer will express sympathy & work hard. But if you go to prison, he’s not going there with you. If you get deathly ill, your doctor will do all he can. However, if things are really dire, the most he can do is go to your funeral. But the pilot? If things go badly wrong in the air, he’s right there with you to the bitter end. Your fate and his are inextricably intertwined, perhaps fatally so. There’s no other professional who’s more dedicated to your well-being!”

Is there a contract in place? These actions by the pilots should be considered a federal violation. Even the videos I've seen are urging me to take action! A judge should impose fines on both the Union and the pilots. It doesn't take long when waiting at the FBOs to overhear pilots discussing the actions they're taking to harm the company. I'm certain the company has metrics to track these occurrences. Warren Buffet should remind them of their obligations in this regard.

We are all doing everything by the book and legal. Making our concerns and grievances public is one of the few legal tools we have. The turnover rate at headquarters for non-pilots is shocking to say the least. Even good pilots need good support structures and reliable mechanics to complete our job. Hopefully, more than our needs will be addressed. Our customers deserve it.

Great video! It's time to finish this. Many of us came here as our career goal and planned to stay for the longterm but now we are looking into other carriers to support ourselves and our families. Experienced crewmembers are key to a safe operation. Those pilots then pass it along to the next generation to help make them safe pilots. Here's hoping that this is our year.

For clarity, I believe it is a 6-year contract with company options to extend another 3 years but provisions to benefit the membership if the company opts to extend. Agreed to during interim bargaining, not Section 6 negotiations (i.e. previous contract was not yet expired when these time frames were agreed to). It probably made sense at the time given that it was before the recent large pay increases at the major airlines

Fifty years in aviation. Military, 35 at American and now 135. My experience tells me that ownership doesn’t care, will not care and you need to move on. This video will not sway them. If they can “get by,”:with these wages , they will. They roll the numbers and if it tells them that a 60 yo can be replaced with a 25 yo, they will. Pax don’t care. Everyone is an individual contractor, look after yourself and family. Well procured video. Stay away from Contour, they are a bottom feeder. Left after two months…

You were at American for 35 years? Then surely you understand better than most how these things go. You've been through some fights there, yes? I doubt the passengers really cared at all about your wages and working conditions. Did you quit the fight and just move on? It's clear airline management has always just "gotten by" with lower wages and working conditions. Until they couldn't. I'm confused why you believe we shouldn't bother with the fight here? And go where? The airlines? And if we do, what should our attitudes be when the fight comes around at the airlines again, because it always does.

I'm bummed for these pilots. They signed up for a gig that pays over 100k, thinking they'd just be zooming in jets for a 9-5 shift. But nope, they also gotta clean planes and put bags on the plane. And on top of that, they're hardly ever home because they're always on the go. I mean, shouldn't someone have given them the heads up about all this travel before they committed to flight school? Sure, it seems obvious but maybe it needed to be said more times. They say working for airlines pays well and has a good quality of life. It's in the news that commercial airlines are in desperate need of pilots. But yet these Netjet pilots are still working for a company when it seems like an easy transition. I think maybe the pilots that stuck around are in a good place but just want money. Making 100k+ and not being able to afford to live just means these families are living above their mean. Imagine firefighters, military soldiers getting paid half what pilots make and they work so much harder. Stop complaining. If you don't like the company you work for then move on. especially if there is a high demand for what you do elsewhere.

Just leave…..easy. Sadly the senior pilots won’t leave and start over. They want to keep their seniority at NJ with the pay bump. The truth is that no cares outside of NJ pilot core what your pay is. Did you deliver the pax to the destination as planned? Done. The consumer will go to the lowest price , always.

Aviation is a business. The people who run the company know lower experience will shorten the time between now and the next fatal accident. They've run the numbers and know if that happens they'll still make lots of money. That is their bottom line. Planes will crash. The CEO and PR guys will handle the blowback, and if they do that well they'll be given raises.

One of the most well-funded corporations on the planet. Millionaire and billionaire clients. Two of the richest men on the planet in charge of it. Really Warren? This is where you think your greed is best applied? $20 million aircraft and let’s pay the cheapest wage we can to the people who fly them. How stupid can you be? Shame on you Warren shame on NetJets! I expected better from them.! The only way to fight greed is to show them they need us more than we need them. The entire Flight department at NetJets should walk off. I think a 40% raise is absolutely appropriate and since they’re being jerks about it 60% is absolutely fair. Stand your ground, gentlemen and ladies, you will win the fight. You have the power.
