I think all these controversies turn people off to comics. It turns the hobby into bean counting. It was more fun in the old days when a good and experienced comic dealer with a good eye would. tell you in 5 minutes what condition your book was.

Great honest review. I was a bit unsure so I bought one of the Silver Age size. I’ll be honest I was not impressed at all. I think it’s a good idea but there are some tweaks. I think the inner dimensions need to be a bit wider.

#wonover - Nice review on product as well as experience with customer service. Some further research of the product seems to indicate they’ve added UV protection to the holders. There is actually a decent in-depth overview on the website regarding the UV protection associated with the capsules. According to the site it looks like silver age size holders are coming. Sizing options are fine for modern but I won’t be comfortable using current available capsule for silver and golden age books.

How can you install the TOP LOADER Capsules to the wall? What type of plastic material does the Comic Capsule use? and Top Loader capsules use?

Which Slabs protect the comics pages from UV light? the UV light will cause the discolored pages to turn yellowish color?

I started collecting recently and I really think I'm gonna end up getting these when I get bigger keys to decorate my wall. I don't like CGC or CBCS slabs so it seems like a good idea. The quality looks/sounds good enough for me. 👍 #wonover

I would display comics, but I don't have anywhere to put them really. Except on the wall and I use frames for those. I do like the idea that these work easy enough that I could swap comics in and out easily. Never say #never for me, just not for now.

Flimsy, cheap stuff. I just picked one up at my LCS for $13. Not impressed. If it drops one time and breaks, may damage my raw, unbagged & unboarded comic. Mine does not sau UV protected on the packaging. I'll probably return it to the store.

Also, we collect very different books, I dont think I have a single moon knight or werewolf by night book in my long boxes. I have a lot of DC and Valiant books. But your videos might have me looking for some of the stuff you collect.

I know it might be hard to shoot, but I would love to watch a clean and a press. Maybe on a really compelling example, good before and afters.

Have things changed since since this video was made? I have sent eight or nine comics off to CBCS in the past year and a half or so, with no issues at all. The promised turnaround time for my last set was right down to the wire, but they shipped them back with about three business days days to spare. I have emailed them with questions, the only thing I find is they seem a bit snarky with the replies. But at the same time, it could be because there’s no “fluff” The replies sound like an email. I’m sending to a friend who just gives me a short answer, the replies are not very business like.

Well u can’t charge a big price I just looked it’s 200 per book and for that service like come on id be pissed off with all of that and even damage I’d be expecting them to find the same comic with the same grade and then grade it free of charge

They all look good, but wow yeah CBCS is much higher quality. I do love the fact that CGC is doing custom labels, they look so damn cool. PGX looks about the same as CGC just no customs.

I had a problem with cbcs customer service with one submission. Sad to say there really wasn't a resolution to it it was just a be patient scenario. I did eventually get my books back and willnuse them more over cgc now. I'm trying pgx just because I've used everyone else. 👍

Probably a good option for the non expensive books. Some copper or modern age stuff.

How does bidding work on Comic Link? If you do a max bid does the auction automatically go to that #? Or does it only increase when some 1 tries to bid minimums and it slowly goes up until you win or until your max is overtaken similar to how ebay does it?

Thickness of the plastic doesn't indicate UV resistance at all. There are paper-thin uv-resistant sheets made for commercial frames.
