Fantastic video! So helpful. Can I just ask. When you record, are you facing a monitor? I'm wondering if I should avoid this as there might be some sort of unwanted sound reflections bouncing off the monitor? I have acoustic treatment in my room, but still wonder about the monitor causing issues.

I do face a 27" monitor, but the mic is far enough, and the room is treated enough, so as not to cause any issues. :)

I'd first like to thank you for all the quality videos you produce.🎉💪 I'm interested in getting the PD400X. Would you recommend using an audio interface, or is the USB mode sufficient? I'm having a hard time seeing the difference. I plan to use it for creating KZbin videos and audio podcasts. Thank you very much for your help! 🙏

Hi Dave, I am using a HyperX DualCast for voiceover/voice chat, Would it be worthwhile to upgrade to AM8/K688? Would it be an upgrade at all or just different? Thanks. If AM8 is not an upgrade what else can be considered for <= $200. Thanks.

It would be cool if you could post a link to the exact item you're reviewing. Their posts on amazon have a lot of added descriptors that make it a little hard to tell which microphone is which.

A8 is generally better for clarity and detail, but captures more noise, but can also capture your voice better at a distance. K688 is smoother, less detailed, but captures less noise, needs to be near your mouth. Needs vary, so choose the one that best meets your needs.

I have a Q16 and I connect it to my Windows PC via USB C to USB C. I dont' hear any static or interference. By the way the REC button turns out to be a loopback. When you activate it. the PC audio appears on the mic input -- without any mics plugged in. for me , I have no clue how to use this REC PC feature.. It is confusing.
