I have been job hunting before the pandemic not one job interview. Fastforward to 2024, finish my undergrad and still no job had a few interviews but zero offers. Its a vicious cycle and there is no end to it.

I'm a 49 year old woman that last child went into a home for disabled adults, I haven't worked sense 2001 shortly before my first son was born. For the last 23 years I have been a wife then just a mother and care giver. I plan on resigning from a company that has had me on reduced hours (none) since Aug. Due to business being slow. However, how should I address needing reimbursement for money taken from my pay for medical insurance that they never paid and was canceled. It was canceled in June, but I was only informed by the insurance company via mail on Aug. 29th. I did reach out to HR and was advised I would be reimbursed since I had not used it and it couldn't be renewed (I believe the company wasn't allowed to). It is now mid November, and still nothing. Since I have another job, I feel resignation is appropriate. I just don't want to sound demanding or make a threat of contacting the Labor Board. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Should you change your location to the preferred country? I have indicated on my LinkedIn profile that I am searching for a job in the specific countries, but my location remains the same as my residence. If I change my location to the desired market, I may attract the recruiters with potential offers. But I am afraid that due to the fact that I need a working visa for my dream job, indicating the desired location instead of the current one may be a potential turn-off for recruiters. I'm not very supportive of adding more regulation, but there needs to be a law that if you reject applicants en masse through ATS and other systems, you have to have someone manually scan the resumes you reject. Yes, most people only look at a resume for 7 seconds, but that still is better than nothing. Don't want to manually review hundreds to potentially thousands of resumes? Accept them in person instead.

If you are using LI to apply for jobs, it highlights the skills you're lacking that other candidates have which is why I have a lot of skills listed. Should that be changed?

Check this out: I was originally told that they were giving the position to another candidate. Then a week later they called me, said there was a mistake and made an offer on the spot. I asked for 24 hours to review. They called back the next day and rescinded the offer. Talk about an emotional roller coaster!!!
