I believe they went for a cartoony non serious style, due to the nature of the game.

It will have some bottlenecks, but it will be mostly fine. The higher load on the gpu, the less the cpu bottleneck.

Unreal Engine 5 is a different beast. The fidelity it produces really requires gobbles of processing power. The game itself is really interesting and unique. With the right settings, I believe the 3060 would do ok.

Yeah I was positively surprised especially with all the crazy streaming going on. Yes the OS is always on SSD. I just don't have the storage capacity to put all tested games on ssd too. Most of the time, what I actually play, is on ssd/nvme.

Well if you search for 8600k and 3060ti in my channel, you will see that this was my normal configuration, up to a week ago. I just moved the 3060ti to the 4770k and the rx6600 to the 8600k. I do such shifts from time to time, to see how each config fares. Now regarding my counting, let me tell you a quick story. At some point I concluded that all this is overkill. I like to take a more relaxed approach, that's why everything is capped now. My point of view has shifted to a more ballpark and eyeballed experience. If it looks ok, it probably is. Getting super obsessed with numbers, is forcing it lose it's romance I believe.

Yeah, it is a work pc with some generic low profile cooler. Also too much heat right now in my country (even though this one was in an AC room).

I used the driver from here. forums.guru3d.com/threads/radeon-id-community-driver-hybrid-release-nebula-23-11-1-whql.436611/ supposedly they will release a new driver in July. The r9 290x is without official support for a long time now.

Both the cpu and gpu are way better than the ps4, yet here we are, having serious problems with this hardware. @@Silver_silva0 Well this is already happening. That's why this video was made really. For the no f16c patch. They are doing it on purpose. Same crap with uncharted requiring avx2 at launch. They removed, boom, game runs like butter on sandys. Anyhoo, your haswell is pretty fine. I have one too. However the good news is, that today, you can get a 12100f/b660/ddr4 on the cheap. If you sell your current stuff, even cheaper, or even get a higher grade cpu.

Yeah I upload performance oriented videos. My gaming skills are not the focus of those. Also I glance at the osd more often than not, to see what's going on there.

It has framedrops below 60 for sure, but overall it's ok for the caliber of the card. This is almost entry level nowadays.

The settings are shown at the start of the video mate. Medium with fsr and dynamic res. The fsr setting is not disclosed, maybe because of the dynamic rest. As you can see, with these settings, it's around 30fps and the gpu is maxed out. It may be capped but the cap is at 60fps which the card is very far away from, so uncapped would be the same thing with tearing. I have not tested the low preset, because I thought it was ok like that. All in all, quite heavy for the 970.

@@Chevelle3_ I don't think 60 is possible mate. Not without destroying the game really. However, since it is mostly a slow paced game, even 30 would be ok-ish.

Only if they bring better patches or the dev lifts the requirement. I've heard in the latest patch, they lifted the avx2 requirement, but I don't know if the f16c remains. No time to test for now.

There are better cards nowadays. Unless you want it as a collector. I like old cards as well.

Good price for european standards at least, however, it is a very old card without driver support anymore. I am using third party drivers here and they have some problems, especially in unreal engine games.

I'm now using 13600K with RTX 4080 and its overclocked to 5.6 x4.4 x4.9 (P/E/C) with Super-Tuned 4000 DDR4 and I'm hitting 75 to 80c on Battlefield 2042 250 Fps And I'm like man I'm killing that thermal compound again XD

I got the 4770k already delided and the prior user had applied gobbles of thermal paste inside. I cleaned it and repasted it properly, but I didn't have liquid metal unfortunately. It does gets a little hot, but I don't care, since it's a tertiary system. The 2500k is a champ though. The sandys had metal thermal compound that still runs fine.

No there is none for the 970 for this version. Maybe if they add fsr3FG later.

But I am using it, as shown at the start of the video and mentioned on the title. The options that the game gives for non DLSS cards, is TSR, FSR3 and XESS. FSR3 is the best for the 970.
