It’s not necessarily 360 link but more specifically UC1 Link and if your talking about a DAWS in built channel strip? Like reason? Only if it was a plugin that could be loaded inside the link container

Right so we creating an FX track, naming that FX track then replacing the plugin that has defaulted onto the track to the one you want. Option+Command+F R (100 ms) E P L K A ENTER (the plugin that was loaded in default should now open) ESCAPE - to close the plugin window (500 ms) E - open channel settings - (100 ms) TAB TAB DOWN ARROW OPTION+ENTER - to select new plugin - (50ms) R E P ENTER - (20 ms) -The plugin is loaded and the channel settings window is now open E - Close Channel Settings - (150 ms) ESCAPE - Close the plugin window - (50ms) It is very very important that when you run this there are no channel settings windows open. I must say this is the older video I've done, I did a newer one about 6 months ago. it's just as bad as a video but some things I changed.

@@HenryMittnacht yeah no one visits websites anymore so there was little point in me making yet another one. I can probably send you what template I have at the moment but it is very individual to me and I’m not entirely sure how useful it would be. The best thing for you to do it spend time with it in its naked form and understand what does what and then start to develop your own workflow bit by bit. It will be confusing for a little while and you’ll notice some things that seem a bit odd but it’s the best way to get comfortable with it.

@@Harrysound Yes, that´s why I was asking for a video that demonstrates the principal. And there is an underlying pricipal there, i.g. how you create the names for a track. First of all there is a new video I just did incase you haven't seen it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJWQZ3WiZpJ7pq8 I think I'm getting close to something that convenient,functional and reliable. So for the insert plugin problem you mention. My Macro for the stock cubase compressor on insert number 3 for example would be ( E - TAB - TAB Down Arrow - SHIFT+Right Arrow - SHIFT+Right Arrow - OPTION+ENTER - C - O - M - ENTER - E - ESC) Important to note the E key and ESC key are manually set within cubase key commands E key is = "Channel settings" - ESCAPE key as "Close VST Instrument" I would say your problem is that you triggering the macro while a Channel Setting window is open. if a Channel settings window is open the macro starts of by CLOSING channel settings rather than opening channels settings. So first thing to try is making sure Channel Settings is closed before triggering the macro. Sorry for the waffle, I'm never sure how much detail I need to go into or if I explain it very well.

@@Harrysound Hello! Thank you very much for your reply, it's very kind of you. I've cut it all out to try and understand it better, and I think the main problem comes from alt+enter. Indeed, this shortcut works on cubase, but since ssl the command doesn't seem to be understood. I'm trying to find other ways of doing it, but it's pretty exasperating 😅

@@ferataciturna so your on windows and that key command doesn’t work? Interesting. If you go through it manually and it doesn’t work then yes another way will need to be found. Other than that the timing delays you can add inside 360 do matter depending on the speed of your computer .

@@Harrysound the shortcut alt+enter does work on cubase, but not through the softkey keyboard macro into SSL360. That's unintelligible...

Yes I am. It’s a really good quality monitor. The only downside is on my specific case the USB hub inside it was defaulting to USB 2 when using USB c for video from my MacBook. I got around this only last week by buying a £30 Ugreen hub that now connects to my MacBook Pro via usb c still but then outputs to hdmi to the monitor. The monitor power delivery from thunderbolt powers the MacBook through the dock and I now have my usb devices plugged into the dock rather than the laptop.

What would you like to see. Some of what is in this video no longer works for some reason. I can no longer hold CMD and select multiple channels for example but the latest SSL updates have really opened up the rest of the buttons for mapping and also the midi cc mode…

@@Harrysound actually everything that has to do with cubase and the ssl controllers.unfortunately there are not so many videos this topic.

@@Boshy2222 I agree. There was a lot of videos about the new link plugin and almost zero about the (in my opinion) large update to the more general functionality of the system. I might try and figure something out even though I’m awful at these videos I would find some of it helpful myself if someone else was doing it

I don’t know those monitors but by the pictures I see they look like seal units. You can’t see into the speakers so I expect they would be good.
