The modified two part sonobe style kusudama is so versatile. This is yet another nice example. Thanks @prw

That video is realistic. These are the frustrations of folding an unhooked, and even a hooked, sonobe without glue. It helps to use photo holding pegs or paper clips but some designs can’t be effectively held this way. If it takes far longer to get a model together than a HowTo video implies then know you are probably part of the norm. Carry on!

Wonderful kusudama! I made it with some sturdy paper, and it looks great, and the assembly process is unexpectedly satisfying. I like the Cherry Bomb, too, but this kusudama is just lovely.

I am not good at explaining the assembly method. But I think if understanding how to assemble Sonobe units, all kusudama assembly will be easy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHqto6Cug8ucrpo I can fold 30 units again and record video while assembling, but I am not sure it will help.

If I may ask, what is the most difficult kusudama you have ever designed? And have you designed one based on Music or Song? I would love to see how you can implement that concept into a design

I have one kusudama name by music Fur Elise kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHnCeauwrpesrbc. Usually, I create a model and then think its name later. I find some words to match the feeling of the final appearance. The most difficult kusudama is not sure because I prefer a simple design. I have Nok kusudama kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6S0nGWGodaartk which I think it is complicated.
