If someone keeps plucking their grey hairs, eventually the hair will stop growing and they will be bald.... I guess that's ok if that's the look you're going for ☺
@brookerobertsco16 сағат бұрын
Not sure it works like that exactly 😂 but I agree: don’t pluck. Just embrace it! ☺️
@lisah324216 сағат бұрын
@@brookerobertsco You're right! I recall seeing my first grey hair... It was very visible against the color of the rest of my hair... and yes I plucked it. Then I read that if you keep plucking your grey hairs your will most likely end up with some bald patches. So, I never did that again. I too am embracing the greys. Thank you so much for this video! 💜

I’ve finally decided to go for it. I tried during the lock down and grew it out 5 inches … was pretty proud of myself…. but got a lot of negative comments from people who were seeing me after 2 years. I think it was a shock to the,. To me eternal regret I re dyed my hair. It would have been easier to go grey 30 years ago. I’m 60 and very grey now… but I realize I’m fooling no one by dyeing my hair. I’m so ready now.

I’m 66 and am just starting my transition. It took me about 2 years to get the courage to do this. I am so tired of dyeing my hair every 5 weeks and the cost of it was getting it done is ridiculous. I have a lot of gray and my hair grows pretty quickly so hopefully it won’t be awful. Wish me luck!

Love this! Thanks for sharing:) it is crazy how much damage hair dye does to our hair. My main reason for going gray is the chemicals being put on my head every 3 weeks. I am 6 mos in and LOVING this transition. And I’m 60 ✌🏼💖

I was getting tired of dying my hair and noticing my roots popping up 3 weeks later. It was getting tougher to cover and I couldn’t keep paying Salon prices or find the time to do it. I was mid 40’s at the time. It was my son who suggested I just stop dying it and let it grow out. My husband was on board with it too. Best decision I ever made, the freedom is awesome. I was a medium brunette color before and now I actually look like a Silvery blonde. In photos it looks blonde. I have had women ask me where I had it done, that’s the best compliment. It’s been 10 years now and I have even influenced friends and family to embrace their natural color. If I see a beautiful shade of grey on a stranger, I always make sure I tell them how beautiful their hair is.

Thanks for this inspirational video. I have a few grays, I am 32, been getting some since I was in high school but it is still just specks at this point. I have a semi permanent on now that is taking forever to fade but I am inspired to not dye it anymore and transition naturally as more grays come. I still remember plucking 1 or 2 towards my wedding day recently. Perhaps I should’ve embraced it. Anyways thanks for his very honest video and sharing your positive outlook, you are beautiful with any colour even with regrowth. I saw some pics of you fully gray it looks soooo good and has so many tones. Is that all natural? If so, I look forward to having so many different natural grey tones too 😊
@brookerobertsco7 күн бұрын
Yes, my gray hair is all natural. I love the different tones. It's so empowering to embrace your natural beauty! 💖 It took about 18 moths before my hair grew out to a long where I could cut it to a short bob and be done with the gross died ends. But your stylist could help you have a more seamless transition with highlights or lowlights. 🤷🏻♀️

Your hair looks amazing! I have a grey hair question: I Stopped dying my hair a year ago, I have lots of silver streamers. (Yay!) but I notice that the top layer of my hair automatically turns brassy. It's very stubborn, and purple shampoo does nothing. I have thin hair and don't want to damage it. I'd really appreciate any advice!

Brooke, nice video. Good examples with Asana. I'm implementing this now and I had a question about your implementation and tracking. How do you do the scorekeeping aspect of the 12 year plan? Does Asana compute that or do you track it and compute it somewhere else? Thanks!
@brookerobertsco2 ай бұрын
Glad it was helpful! I actually just compute it myself during my weekly checkins/planning. I just take number of actions/goals for the week i completed divide by the total for the week. Gets me my percentage. Also, you know deep down if it was a great week, okay week, or bad week. You could rank it based on your gut feeling.

@brookerobertsco, did your students have any issues with losing the progress they made in your old course platform? Kajabi doesn't have a way to migrate that progress. How did you manage that aspect from the migration?
@brookerobertsco3 ай бұрын
Good question! I moved over 500 students and no one brought this up. In fact, most people told me that it made them excited to jump back in (if they’d had the program for a while). I think the key is to prep your audience. Make an announcement a couple of weeks ahead prepping them. Then when you actually move send another announcement.

I'm in my 9th year of going grey and it's not grey so much as silver/white shoulder length. Much like Emmylou Harris. I've had many positive comments. The one comment that hurt was from my older sister who said, "I liked your hair when it was brown". I said, those days are gone I can never be a brunette again. I would have grey/white coming through in 2 weeks. I went through a period of highlighting my hair so it was more blonde to cover the grey. I think it actually looks better grey than it did blonde. Really didn't want to put dye on my head anymore nor spend all that time & money on colouring. Very freeing actually.....
