Yeah Badu has procreated with the D.O.C, Andre 3000, Jay Elec and probably others. Not sure if Jay is fully Muslim, but he definitely sides with the "Nation Of Islam" and the further into his career to modern day, he has constantly gotten flack for saying borderline racist things in his raps. His career has taken a turn from mysterious phenom in the 2010s to a rapper most don't want to work with in the current day. And yes, EPs are supposed to be under 30 minute under 7 song releases, but being an independent artist releasing CD-Rs with no record label management, his lack of knowledge in album formatting has him releasing albums but calling them EPs.

Absolute classic! That is everybody's favorite part 😂 Just Blaze can be in the GOAT producers conversation. You reacted to a few of his hits like Jay Z "Song Cry" and "Girls, Girls, Girls, and Fabolous "Breathe."

I haven't reacted to any of those although Breathe is scheduled for next month.

@@ABoomerReacts My bad. Idk why I thought you did. That's just 2 more to add to the list lol. Also, Cam'ron "Oh Boy." That is another classic and also a banger. You did do Cam'ron "Welcome To NY City" featuring Jay Z. That was produced by Just Blaze also.

Great song and reaction. It felt like hip hop was starting to change (for the better) around the time this came out, and this song was a great example of where hip hop was starting to go at that point. I rocked this song on the regular!

On the way in to Boston to see Hozier live just before Covid, my brother put on “Shrunk”. For reference, I’m gen x and grew up listening to everything from Dylan and Zeppelin to The Cars to Metallica and I remember the earliest days of rap. Lyricism always grew in importance to me over the years and at this point, even though I was never huge into rap, Aesop Rock has become my favorite artist in any genre. There’s no one else out their quote like him. For me, the fact that he’s basically my age and from the east coast, has allowed me to connect to the endless pop culture references which he uses to make his various points and tell his stories. “Shrunk” started it for me so I wouldn’t be mad to see it, but I also think “Fryerstarter” would be great. He speaks about discovering a 24 hour donut shop in the early hours of the morning as if it’s a religious experience. Rubi ‘81 is also a masterful bit of suspension building and storytelling.

Thanks! When i reacted to Kirby, I didn't know that it was part of a trilogy or I would have reacted to all 3 songs in the same video. I didn't find out until after Kirby had posted. Someone told me that i can still do Get Out of the Car and Shrunk together next time. I'll add Fryerstarter to my list. In the meantime. at the end of December I will be reacting to Waiting Around by Billy Woods ft Aesop Rock.

It's been a while since I heard this one, I barely remember it. I think of it more as story telling about stuff that happens as opposed to a gang deterrent. I compare it to something like watching a Tarantino movie. People I know that ended up in gangs and prison were getting into trouble since they were little kids, before gangster rap was even a thought.

Have you seen any of the theories/"evidence" that J5 consists of actually dead rappers who all faked their death?Akil is 2pac, Chali is Khadafi, Soup is Biggie and last dude is Eazy E.Funny as hell man and so many people are convinced and actually believe it.Akil been faking it for years though.

That seems like something that is too outrageous to believe.
@DorkVaderDaThugzta3 күн бұрын
@ABoomerReacts Yeah it is but if u watch some of the videos where they compare Akil and Tupac it's alot of similarities so people can be fooled especially the ones who only heard about Pac years after his death.

And Akil played along with it of course.By the way I have alot of cool rap to recommend you but would you check out couple of rappers from Norway who has been mixing norwegian and Cali/Bay Area flava for many years now?They also produced and rapped norwegian on Baby Bash's Smokin Nephew album.

Wow, I never knew there was more than 1 version! Freddy Krueger was so iconic! Will Smith was the king of comedy rap, and perfect for those of us still of elementary school age! 😂 He was perfect for that tv show too. That's another reason why the Chris Rock slap was so shocking, him of all rappers?! "I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson" and "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble" are some other funny songs from them. Ironically, it was another rap song around that same time, by 2 Live Crew that sampled and mocked Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman", that led to a landmark Supreme Court ruling that parody is an excusable use of copyrighted material without permission. So the legal fight with this song could have been avoided if not for timing. Now skit/sketch comedians everywhere can thank hiphop for their lawsuit-free right to parody!
