I owned a 1966 Bronco, in 1988. It had 51,000 original miles, and had a straight six, with a three-in-the-tree column shift. It was basically a Ford Tractor, if you ask me. I am happy to have owned it, but it was not a vehicle to use for daily driving. Your build is top notch, and respect to you all for giving it a new life.

Such a nice build. I love the side saddle tire carrier. Is that custom or does someone make a kit?

Why the "Catalytic Converter", on a 1974 Vehicle ?. Even in California, the didn't have them until 1975.
@AugustParo Жыл бұрын
High flow catalytic converters are great resonators and cost minimal horsepower. The main reason is the exhaust no longer smells.

Are 16" rims required to fit the brakes or could you also fit them in stock 15" rims?

Damn it, we support the criminal in Moscow. Putin can only be defeated if we implement an immediate energy-saving lockdown. No more private trips. Heating only at night and only one room with light and electricity, you can simply set that at the fuse box....Cities could, for example, switch off every second street light and companies could switch off their neon signs. We can initially limit driving to pure business trips and hospital trips, etc...!!! Stop driving now!!!!!!!!

Depends on who is doing the work, If you are mechanically inclined there is a ton you can do to save labor costs.

There are plenty of great Broncos out there. Everyone can build theirs how they like, but your builds are always very much like how I would like to see mine end up. Thanks for the motivation!
@joegeorge33673 жыл бұрын
incredible build, can't argue that. but I do have to counter isn't it really a resto-mod? these are things I think we're done that the video doesn't mention. I just did a '68 so here goes - power brake booster, new brake proportioning valve, electric wipers with delay feature, front disk brakes, larger fuse panel ('66 had 5 circuits), electric fuel pump, 100 Amp alternator, wider steel wheels to accommodate the BFG's, new driveshafts to accommodate the longer 4R70W, computer to run the 4R70W. And what you mentioned is the EFI and auto tranny. i absolutely get why that's the list. I hated my '68 the day I got it. BTW - I have a '71 Blazer that had P/S and front disk brakes from the factory. So no love from me for Ford for waiting until nearly '74 to get those into the Bronco.
@tomaugust763 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe thanks for the praise. There is no doubt this is a restomod but it feels like a restoration. Since Ford no longer makes any of the parts to restore a bronco, it is difficult to do a proper restoration these days. The reason we call this a restoration is that Broncos have been modified so often in stylistic ways that people mistakenly believe they came from the factory with cut fenders and roll cages. Aside from the EFI system, everything on this truck looks mysteriously stock and we worked diligently to give the build that feel. We are following the premise that if Ford had a power brake booster in '76 then it will look stock on a restomod built today. All of that work is so it looks stock but drives the way you think it should, meaning everything is tight and works flawlessly. Sure it will steer, stop and handle better than an original but people need to be able to use these things in the real world and that means an overdrive and EFI.
@charlesperkins9413 жыл бұрын
@@tomaugust76 "mysteriously stock" ummm.... like the twin stick? lol. Yes, I do get what your saying. It does look stock to people who don't know Broncos. However, after owing early Broncos for 40 years, this Bronco has just the right balance, especially for something that will be driven in modern traffic.
@almullowney52302 жыл бұрын
@@tomaugust76 The bronco folks are set in their ways..... You guys build the nicest looking Broncos in my opinion. Love the improvements you make to keep it "stock".
