There are many great watering holes in the city. I often have a couple at ; My Bar, Chillin Bar, For U Bar and Eric's Bar, among others ...

There is the train to / from Bangkok or Chiang Mai, plus the bus to / from Udon Thani or Loei. It is at that Southern end of Northern Thailand and not a high profile tourist destination either (though I really like it ...), so yes, definitely not as easy to get to, as some other parts of the country. I reckon it is well worth it and yours truly likely to return.

I can see that the construction site is set up, but as at today (2024), still work in progress. I will be keen to have a look myself, once they cut the ribbon in 2025.

Hello @lppido - The good news, is that yes, you can reach Loei City by Bus - from Udon Thani Bus Terminal No.2 . It runs from an AM start*, takes to 2.5 to 3 hours and there is a vlog in my back catalog with more details. * Additionally, If you have time, you can (I suggest) also visit the No.2 Bus Terminal for more up to date information. @SkinWarrLorR - Thanks for commenting and first up, I would suggest the City Museum, Sab Kor Food Street (Loei Night Food Market Walking Street) and, Ruai Jai Chalerm Phra Kiat Park, in town (you may wish to check out my vlogs). And, if you have time to venture out of the CBD, then Chiang Khan is great for a day trip, either in and out of Loei City and or on your way to other locations, with the Skywalk and Walking Street, both well worth checking out in my experience, too. Yes it was a tad quiet and I imagine that there only being a limited number of destinations to and from the depot (at the time of filming this vlog), might have been been factor in that I think. It is in a really great spot and I will probably be back there again, for a trip to Phitsanulok next year. Cheers for watching and commenting.
