I have to question the 30 feet off the ground bear hang. To hang below the branch a bit you would be chucking a line 40 feet up. Sounds wrong.

To the naysayers about non-partisanship: It's hard not to appear partisan when the vast majority of Republicans don't support their cause--clean water and protecting wilderness. But they said they actively seek support from all candidates and office holders who believe in those causes. What more can you do? Unfortunately this has become a political issue with a sharp divide where party loyalty is more important than reason, foresight, and doing what's best for all. Getting a few mining jobs for 20 years or so is a lousy tradeoff for ruining a wilderness for our lifetimes, our children's lifetimes, and our grandchildren's lifetimes.

I'm a republican and voted for Trump. The DNR is planning to sell 80,000 acres of the BWCA to the U.S.F.S. for 50 million to fund schools in MN. I live near the BWCA. Mining there will greatly harm that area. I'm not an activist but I love the untouched, pristine land we have left. Please do not mine near or in the BWCA.

Thanks for the video, brought back fond memories. Have stayed in all of her cabins at least once-both pre and post 1964. Cap (her father) would be up there with her in the summer (until he passed) and I believe was in his 90s then, and still fishing. Glad to see her legacy lives on. I know this is an old video, but for the person asking about iPhone cases and anyone else wondering now... iPhones and many of the Android phones (Samsung, other big brands) are normally water resistant all on their own. Sure, older models and cheaper models aren't, but all of the iPhones since iPhone 11 are rated for 30 minutes at depths up to 6 meters (approx 20 ft) so what you want is less a case to keep it from getting wet and more something that will keep it afloat so you can retrieve it. All claims of water resistance are void if the phone is damaged though.
