Tremendous contrast between Salt Lake City and any town on the Eastern Seaboard! Makes you appreciate the wonder of flight.

I take it the pilot hit the wrong button & announced "line up and wait" to the cabin lol.

I've done this flight so many times. Love it! My fav era for this flight was when Delta used the 757.
@AviationManiak8 күн бұрын
I hear ya, the 757 is a classic! Considering Delta is keeping their 757's (for the time being), I'm hoping to see it back on the route. If nothing else, an equipment swap would be nice too!
@AndrewTubbiolo8 күн бұрын
@@AviationManiak I saw the A220 doing the route a few times last year. I have yet to fly on one yet. If it comes back I'll book a flight somewhere via ATL just so I could grab a ride.
@AviationManiak7 күн бұрын
The CS100/300 from ATL? Haven't seen that one before. I know DL flies the CS100/300 to and from Seattle, but I can't recall ever seeing it on an ATL flight. I'm sure in the future it will be though!

@@AviationManiak Love it that you refer to it by its rightful name . :) I always call it the C Series to myself as well. Yes, I have a few pix of it sitting at gate 2 at TUS. Beautiful bird.

Let me ask you if Delta flights are connected with Latam. A connection with the 2 airlines.
@AviationManiak8 күн бұрын
As far as I know, Delta and LATAM do codeshare with one another, so, theoretically, you could connect between both airlines at their respective hubs!

The white balance in the video kept changing - the tones went from blue to yellow and so on a lot. I wonder if you have camera set to auto white balance and it does that.
@AviationManiak8 күн бұрын
Hi, that's a good catch, but no, I don't have the white balance set on my camera. As far as I can tell, what was happening with the video had more to do with the changing darkness settings on the 787's windows. Since the 787's don't have classic window shades, coupled with the direction of the sunlight, I was having great difficulty ensuring my camera would not overheat. So, I was forced to resort to changing the darkness settings on the window. Sorry about that!

I know :( Southwest was always there at Bush every time I got stuck there on a standby trip. Glad to have gotten the opportunity to fly them out of there. (Funny enough, I actually never flew into Bush on Southwest - only out of. The one time I was booked into Bush, the flight cancelled and they rebooked me to Hobby)

Love how they deleted reduced climb like in the NGs, despite the fact that it's discouraged in the MAX. Sometimes you gotta bend the rules a lil 😅

That's a good catch! I didn't even notice! In all reality, the reason I probably didn't notice is that the senior mama flight attendant on board had a problem with my filming and I had to keep my focus on her throughout the flight as to not get in trouble :(

The best side for these flights is to sit on the left side of the aircraft. It provides for a prime view of downtown during final on these lake side approaches. Also you get to see bigger towns like Rockford just as you begin the descent into ORD's class B.
@AviationManiak8 күн бұрын
100% agree! Alas, on standby, I have to take what I am given, but if I ever book a flight confirmed, I ALWAYS sit on the left side :)
