There's another one , by the time I thought I could merchant navy and get a six month stint in an ice station , step by step style , fish the north work a cannery and finally a science spot , weather detail , they told me o needed physics , and I had gone the arts. Missed by a mile the things I figured you could just get on , but ships and pole work needs the sciences

Didn’t watch. The title made me lose interest. It’s the MarianaS Trench, not the Mariana Trench. Basic research and knowledge goes a long way. Obvious zero effort channel. Merry Christmas I guess.
@GalacticHorrorsКүн бұрын
@johnmcdaniel2536 "Mariana Trench" is the correct and official name. The trench is named after the Mariana Islands (which themselves were named after Queen Mariana of Austria). Unless you’re referring to the Canadian music band Marianas Trench, "Mariana Trench" is the standard term used in scientific literature and official geographical naming. The United States Board on Geographic Names, the International Hydrographic Organization, and scientific institutions consistently use "Mariana Trench." Merry Christmas to you too.

Thankyou , the branching out of humanity , at last Earthseed making not only planets to live on but also hollowed out death traps strip mined bored and all resource gone on to make three other rocks something like home. Mars would be a sling shot job of Saturn's ice , we would have a station just to roll out a rock of decent proportions and sling shot to Mars where it will be finally guided into a pole touch down. Making finally an ocean on Mars. I choose it that way than water from us as it tends to borble together. And when the rover found water , knowing what I know it probably triangulated with three other nuke batteries devices and had that lot teleported from somewhere like Hinkley or Fukashima where the waters got a signature. This act up there a rover getting covered in water was a month before the tell tale signs of ecological shift a number of quakes. Still , history has a habit of repeating itself and if we did port it the quakes are the heaving Mars would begin to feel as the water aches to come back to its parent bubble , like watching a vacume bubble being injected , the ejection mass wants to join back up with its parent mass. So a few hundred thousand years we will wonder why Mars ever started to come closer inner system and crunch, the water that we moved up finally makes it back home

Good writing. I actually felt angry about others taking my agency away from me. I would have chosen to go through with the changes and never have forgiven those who took away that option away from me. Would i have chosen to take side, no, but would be welcoming the change from being a mudane human. I would seen this as human selfish pride and fear winning out over logic, like it always had throughout our history.

They took over their minds , saying that I've recently had two dreams where I wake up trying to take a forkfull of hot food into my mouth , I wake to my mouth flapping round a ghost spoon and actually feeling the heat on my tongue , and just now I woke up trying to take off an invisible university cap , and woke to my hand whipping the ghost hat into the bloody air and wrenched my shoulder from slouched asleep sitting up which seems to inhance the physical dream state

I was just thinking the other day, "Some of these stories need a happy ending." Don't get me wrong, I enjoy stories with dark, depressing endings, but there's little suspense when you can assume every story will end in the worst case scenario. It reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend about why I liked French and Japanese movies. Unlike Hollywood movies, sometimes they have sad endings, so when you watch those movies for the first time, there's the stress of not knowing if everything will work out in the end. And if there is a happy ending, you appreciate it all the more. So while I was listening to this, and based on most of the stories I've listened to on this channel, I just assumed the bloom would escape and take down all of humanity, or an open ending that implies that as the most likely outcome. So in a weird kind of way, this was the happy ending I've been waiting for.

@ressljs I totally get where you’re coming from, and you make a great point. I think I may have leaned a bit too heavily into doom-and-gloom endings because they tend to resonate with a lot of viewers. That said, I’ve been working on adding more variety to my endings lately. While you probably won’t see Hollywood-style resolutions in my stories, I can definitely explore letting some characters survive or creating moments of hope here and there. I really appreciate your opinion-thanks for sharing it!
@conniechristopher70482 күн бұрын
Doom and Gloom is always good but I love your stories that have happy endings I love all of your stories so what can I say a little more balance Maybe But whichever way you go I don't mind it at all as long as you're not totally heartbreaking okay how to get attached to your storytelling have a great day
@ressljs2 күн бұрын
@@GalacticHorrors Oh, trust me, I'm not looking for Hollywood endings. And while I suppose it's a stretch to describe this story as having a happy ending, the good guy did "win" at the end, which was nice, and good to know it happens occasionally, even in the universe of Galactic Horror.

That's the heavily fictionalized version . The reality is : ' I come in peace ' it said ' humans do not want peace , its boring , uncompetitive ' we replied ' Join You ' it stressed ' Go back ' we stressed From the ISS , the command to purge the Sentinel was issued - the orbit decayed and the research station went crashing into Venus's surface - burning up was the last feedback received . 😌
