Adventure on my friend, just found your Utude channel. You ever think of hiking one of the long trails ( PCT) Btw I completed the Pedal the Perimeter tour in 2018, it's a 11k to 12k miles around the USA, anyway good stuff ur putting out😎

Happy Marriage to you two. I thoroughly enjoyed your video series. It brought back memories of my own coast to coast trip, although from east to west. It was fun seeing the Erie Canal footage especially. I entered at Troy, having come from New Hampshire. When you passed through Michigan on BR 20, you were within15 miles of my house. I wish I would have known so I could have offered you dinner or a place to stay. Great footage. Thanks you. And again, happy marriage. Remember, ask your spouse everyday, "What can I do for you today?" It's the secret to a successful life together. Take care...... and Tailwinds!! Bob

What State is this in ? Near what town ? I have no idea where the Buffalo River is.

Great point! I guess I never mentioned the state. It’s in Northwest Arkansas near Ponca or Jasper. I think Harrison Arkansas is the closest large town

Nice video. You guys are tough. We did the trail from Clinton to St Charles in October of 2020 when the nights were cool and the days were sometimes hot. But no mosquitoes and no flooding. Still we met other pilgrims on the trail and in the campsites. We highly recommend taking a detour into Columbia for a mid-tour hotel break. Thank you Missouri for a friendly welcome everywhere.
@palmerbowles1631Ай бұрын
Thanks George! We definitely didn’t choose the best or easiest time of year to do it but it was what worked for our schedule I guess. Next time I’ll definitely have to try going up to Columbia for a little break. That sounds splendid. I think the time of year you road would be the ideal season for it though. Happy trails!

Best of luck to you as well :)

I always keep that can opener on my keychain. We called them openers 'John Wayne' in the Corps & 'P-38' in the Army. 4:20 any viewers saving money can look at the 'Pacific Trail' long sleeve UV shirts at Big-5 Sporting Goods. I've been touring with them for over 10 years.

Nice video. I wonder why you went through Canada instead of staying in the United States? I wonder because I have heard many stories about the Canadian Customs and Border Protection hassling people. I know many Canadians and they think their customs and border protection personnel are jerks.
@palmerbowles16312 ай бұрын
Thanks Mark! We did it for a variety of reasons I guess. It’s far more direct than going all the way around the lakes, we wanted to experience a new country/culuture making the trip not just across the US but also across North America, and wanted to save a bit of money (things are a lot cheaper in Canada it seems). You are right though, the border patrol officers were not the kindest but I kinda expected that. They didn’t do anything crazy or search our bags so it really wasn’t that bad of an experience
