Thanks for another great video. I followed that same route on my cross country trip a few years back. It brought back memories.

Thanks!! I’m glad to hear that the video brings back memories for others too. Ultimately, I’m hoping to preserve some of our memories from this trip and glad to hear that others are too :)

Thank you! It’s definitely filtered content in the sense that I’m not uploading the busy highways, headwinds, or bad days really. But all in all it’s been quite fun!

I think that Continental Divide sign was pretty interesting - thanks for explaining it - I did not know that.

What do you use to film and upload?? Also great content here and on strava 🎉

Thank you! Strava is definitely more up to date… I’ve fallen behind on the KZbin but will catch up eventually haha. It’s a little bit of a secret but I’m just using my iPhone 13 mini to record. It’s just so much easier to have one device to take photos, record, navigate etc. Then I edit it on an iPad Air using Final Cut Pro X. I’ve found the .mov file format works really well with apple’s video editing software and then I export as mp4 / h.264 file

How many miles were you averaging per day. I enjoyed the video being originally from ND. Thanks for sharing.
@palmerbowles16312 ай бұрын
Hi sidstevenson, we started out averaging 30-40 per day while our bodies got used to the miles and finished averaging 60-70 miles/day with even a few 80 and a 90 mile day. We met a lot of people riding much further than us day to day and some people riding a little less than us. I’d say 50 miles per day is a good estimate for the average joe though as that’s probably what we averaged. We loved North Dakota and were surprised to hear that a lot of NT cyclists skip the state.

Any chance you could post a picture of the Montana route map you highlighted in this episode?

What brand of bikes did you both ride? Thanks!

Hi Heather! I was riding a surly ogre and my wife was riding a specialized diverge. We both really enjoyed them and would use them again! I’ll upload a gear video here soon
