Nice to see a helpful video, but darn was it painful to watch.

When somebody asks how much you love your truck, the answer is "so much I replaced the back speakers!"

You are awesome. My 72 was a little different, but you gave me the basics to be able to do the job. On the 72, the center bolt is 27mm, and there are two bolts that hold in the cover for the ignition cylinder. You have to take out the turn signals and the wiper controls to get to the two cover bolts. Your walk through gave me the info to get in and get started. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have a 1992 K1500 with a manual transmission. The slave cylinder is below the starter motor and gets in the way of dropping out the starter. Do you have any suggestions?

FYI if you have to do this in the yard etc you can jack up the truck from the passenger side tire jack point and it really helps, just make sure you put something good and sturdy under the jack so it doesn't sink.

On my truck there is no heatshield and one of the mounting bolts has a huge ground strap on it attached to the frame. Thank you for this video i could not remember if that wire from the main body went on the lug or not and you really helped me out there.

Solid work on the video. I just did this myself, but I don’t film it lol. All the videos of this exact process before yours were absolutely terrible quality. Glad to see people are still making repair content for aircooled beetles

I used butyl. Since the screw is going to pull up against the seal I wanted something that would stay gooey and continue to seal even after the tightening of the screw creates a miniscule gap.

Crutchfield gives the to you for free when you buy speakers from them. It’s a great company, I have no affiliation with them other than I use them a lot personally.

Did you ever get this issue sorted? i just did a tremec tkx swap behind a 1.6L in my miata and get a terrible vibration at 65-70 and cannot seem to figure it out, first driveshaft same speed(not rpm or gear tied) then i had them rebalance it and they actually ended up retubing the whole thing as they found a little demple on it they didnt like and rebalanced it still same speed same everything... surely an entire driveshaft rebuild would have changed the rpm or something of it. Im curious if what im feeling is that miata shake/shimmy at certain speeds although if i push past it it never got any better only worse...

I have a 1996 gmc suburban that wont start. It sounds like grinding noises from the motor. It used to be able to start. Now it doesn't for sure. I was told, it could be either the starter, or fuel pump. As the fuel gage stopped displayi ng the correct amount of fuel. Or maybe both?

This is very helpful! Just one thing: the front a-arm needs to be tightened with the car on the ground, otherwise the bushings will be twisted and the front of the car will sit higher than it should be!
