MIata MX5 NC Windshield Cowl Water Leak Repair

This is an extremely common leak on the NC Miatas, if it hasn't happened yet it's only a matter of time. The seals crack and give way for water to seep into the cabin of that car. You can buy replacements or do what a did with some $7 Sealant.

I used butyl. Since the screw is going to pull up against the seal I wanted something that would stay gooey and continue to seal even after the tightening of the screw creates a miniscule gap.

My wiper blade arm is stuck can't be removed. Contracted due to age. I don't know how she removed hers so easily? Has anyone solved a stuck wiper blade arm? Also I don't see the need to remove the grommet. Why can't you seal around the grommet? I've seen another video someone doing just that.

Can you use silicone or something to retighten the rubber part of the cowl?

Whats the name of the plastic piece she's adding sealant? Apparently my Miata doesnt have it on either side 😅
