mirrors are bad, i have the same issue. replaced with some bar end mirrors and is 100 times better. i got used to them prettty fast. i have them pointed upwards i think they offer maximum image visibility this way. if you have the SE model like i do you wanna replace the mirror adaptor with a short screw it the right side cause it holds the usb-c charger kit ( if you wanna replace the adaptors in the firstplace right.) thanx for the video, i really enjoy my eliminator, got it less than a week ago and its a pretty easy to ride and handle bike. first realy bike too, coming from mainly scooters.

is it a ok beginner bike
@jimbobspov13 күн бұрын
I wouldn't call it a beginner bike. It has enough power to get yourself hurt if you're not responsible with the throttle. With that said, it's easy enough to ride that if you're responsible with the throttle, & keep the basics in mind, you'll be fine. Take a basic rider skills course & make smart decisions on the road.

I have the 2022 FTR Standard souped to the max & a 2023 Sport Chief with the Stage 2 perf w/the Freedom 2-1 exhaust & one of the things about Indian motorcycles that is absolutely amazing is the way they make their power. The torque on all of their different motors is available along the entire rpm range. Everything feels so premium & even with the tech options like ABS, Wheelie mitigation (turn this off lolz), and traction control you really never notice them because you always feel so in control of the machine. Both of the bikes I bought are a result of Indian listening to their customers. They fixed ALL the issues the 2019 FTR had with the 2022 model(seat height, wheel rake, tire size, cold start, throttle response) & the Sport Chief is basically just a beefy Chief with everyone's wish list of factory upgrades (dual front brembos, inverted forks, sexy & useful fairing, raised bars, perfect tire sizes, fox shox, comfy seats). So I voted for Indian with my dollars because I watched this company(Polaris) resurrect the brand & how they listen to their customers & just focus on making AMAZING bikes. The Scout 101 is basically the same treatment for their Scout, which was the original model I was going to buy before I decided to get the FTR instead since I came from a dirt bike & sport bike background. You CANNOT go wrong with any of their bikes, they are all being made with love & passion for riding. That all said, I do ride my FTR more than the Chief & as cool as the tech thingy on my Chief is, you don't really need that stuff so you can save a buck by getting the standard versions & just adding the other upgrades yourself like I did with my FTR. P.S. If you live in cool state(like mine: Utah) the hand warmers are SOOOOO nice, get them, sell a kidney if you have to, but get them.
@jimbobspov17 күн бұрын
@@damnice great comment! You nailed it on the head about Indian listening to their customers & making bikes for the passion & love of riding. They are an absolute joy to ride! The refinement in the 2025 Scout is definitely noticeable as well. I look forward to getting to ride an FTR at some point.
@lukas737428 күн бұрын
I regret purchasing mine. The fact that your only limited to one handle bar configuration ruined the whole bike. Sure you can make a few phone calls and pay a lot of money, but the fact you can’t go to Indian and put a set of handle bars on it makes this thing not worth it, go with the bobber then you can change anything you want from the factory

I just found this bike i was gonna go with a really nice looking cheaper Chinese 200cc bike it's very nice and clean and has a following in america it's 2,900 this bmw 300cc is like double that so idk but so far by visuals and it's features and such it sounds like a great bike. Is it really folks???? First off the brake light at the end of the tail light thats a no no why would bmw do that instead of putting it right after the seat like normal sport bikes. Also a dam exhaust for sure either full exhaust or a slip on.
@jimbobspov27 күн бұрын
You can find these used for 3-4k as well as many other better options than a Chinese bike. The lack of power on the 200 will get old quick & it probably wont be very reliable. The brake light does look awful but unfortunately it's like that on a lot of bikes now, even sport bikes.

I have this bike, been riding over 20 years and usually had supernakes; think Tuono, Speed Triple, SuperDuke... and can say this bike will hold it's own on the street. Slip on wont do anything but an Akra header with stock can sounds amazing, with the benefit of weight loss and added power. ECU flash, bore the airbox, KN air filter and now the throttle is less on/off and at least 10 more ponies and 5lbs torque. Trash the stock tires, put on your fave stickies or ST tires. (st for the street is all i ever run) Swap the rear shock for an Ohlins and fork cartridges in the front and now we're talking. Brembos up front with steel braided lines and now you have a true sleeper. And it sounds mean. That 948 engine is a real gem. Love the 80's looks. Solid build and reliability. Great bike all around but it does need a few mods to unleash it's true potential, maybe not all i mention but def tires and ECU flash to start with.

I believe that the 650RS is the perfect platform for that motor. Like the 900RS too. That is one great bike. I owned a MT07 but I traded it in on a ZX4RR because I was tired of parallel twins. I owned a 2012 Triumph 865 360 crank and it had the best sound. Then they went to a 270 crank and just ruined the sound for me. It was a very heave little bike. I road it a lot and made a cafe racer out of it but that big tank just didn't look right. Now that ZX4RR is a blast to ride. I owned a 1975 Z900 back in the day so I have been around awhile and owned a lot of bikes. I currently own a 2022 Heritage Classic, a 2018 Iron 1200, a 2023 ZX4RR, a 2015 XT250 and my project bike a 1965 Triumph TR6 120 hard tail chopper with a girder front end and a 21 inch spook wheel.
