Im struggling here. Ive got everything connected, MOBO power cord is connected to psu, im using both cpu cables for the power, one 8 pin and one 4 pin connected, my ram is connected, but nothing is turning on. No lights at all, i have the cpu fan connected (took it off for troubleshooting but left it plugged in) and spins for half a second but stops. Cant for the life of me figure out what im doing wrong, its not my first time building a pc. Id be very grateful if you responded and helped me out a bit

i have had and am having a very VERY similar problem. the computer effectively crashes but doesnt turn off or restart or hit a "blue screen" or anything. the monitor just goes black and the system itself stays on. i can hold down the power button on my case and after a few seconds the system will finally shut off completely. sometimes, right after the monitor goes black the system's fans will ramp up to max speed and stay there until you totally shut the machine down. the problem seems to happen when under load or when the system has been left on for an extended period of time. (approx 8-12 hours when left alone but on) honestly i have no idea what the deal is but considering i just built the machine with a professional and under their guidance, the fact that it is extremely unstable is appalling to say the least. a few more details... at first, after the "black screen half-crash" (if you will), i would go into windows control panel and look up the archived messages. every single time i checked there was a log noting an error in the GBTCloudMatrix process - which is a gigabyte utilities affiliated process, i am not aware of its purpose though. anyways, after a particularly egregious crash which seem to completely break the graphics processing on the machine, i reinstalled windows from scratch. that time around i made sure not to install any gigabyte utilities software thinking i could escape my fate by not having the GBTCloudMatrix process run. after OS reset, my games and video ran fine again but after a decent stretch of stability the "black screen half reset" crash started happening again... i found a potential issue on Jays2Cents channel where he was discussing "bad motherboard default settings". however, i dont know how that discussion would apply to my situation exactly. the hunch is that Gigabyte sets as default bad settings that overload the CPU/memory by giving bad voltages or overclocking or whatever. but i just dont know... help please anyone! oh yeah, amd processor amd gpu 32 gb ddr5 ram gigabyte gaming motherboard 650 whatever, just ask if you want full specs

OH I like seeing the improvements they made to the tenting legs from the Defy. I would always forget to flip out the little legs before setting the angle. Now it seems they improved the design with the little legs flipping out for you as you pull the tenting legs out. Also looks like they added slots to easily pull the tenting legs out. OH and the new cables look nice. Dygma really pays attention to customer feedback and make meaningful improvements in their products. I have been a Dygma backer since Raise OG was on kickstarter. And I now daily drive the Defy. Its hard to go to any other keyboard for work now.

I just do not know why the need for pcie x16 bifurcation. It is weird for my gigabyte x670 mb since the other 2 pcie slots are connected to the CPU via a pcie x4 bridge. So slotting two GPU cards will have x16 and x4 speeds. Again, if it is an add in card, it can only be slotted in the other two pcie slots with max pcie x4 speed. I think bifurcation comes into play when you do not use a dedicated GPU card (use IGP) and connect say a pcie adapter card in the pciex16 slot that supports 4 nvme drives thus you can bifurcate 4x4x4x4. The need to bifurcate and add more nvme cards is crazy as my x670 mb has 1 pcie5 nvme, 3 pcie4 nvme plus two pcie3 x4 and x2 slots (6 nvme ssds).

I have this problem. When I click the mouse for the first time on any menu, it does not open and the mouse stops clicking. The cursor moves, but the clicks do not work. I can only control the BIOS menu via the keyboard. What could it be?

Just built my pc and I’m bios version is fb1. I been trying to install windows 11 fresh from usb but it keeps failing at 50%. I’m not sure if it’s a setting I’m missing or my usb is crap or do I need to update my bios or something wrong with my ssd. Any suggestions

you have my dream GPU.... thats my goal next year at tax time to get her... hopefully in a month i'll have my rig setup with the 7700x, this motherb, and 32gb ram just going to play emulators and obilvion and older games on the 7700x, come tax time im getting the 7800xt with elden ring, BG3 and a freakin crazy modded skyrim!! we still have so much time for ES6, but we both know the 7800 xt will play it just fine

I've been told that if you add more pcie to the bottom slots that the main GPU pcie might go from x16, to x8 im taking it thats more likely on older cheap mobo's and def not this one correct? i just want to add a thunderbolt pcie adapter down the road, but their extremely costly, unless we give ol ali a try for half the cost, what other pcie adapters would you install to this mobo sir? you put that ram in like a champ w 1 hand!

I have an issue where my nvme has only been detected a couple times. It’s really odd because I’ve rebooted my system dozens of times and maybe only twice has it detected my nvme drive. Was wondering if there’s a setting to turn it on?

im a very long time windwos user since the late 80s and also a very long time linux user, i want to give windows a chance as i'm not a fanboy of any OS really i like all oses and i like to see whats up with them all and whats new etc i just like OSes in general, but imma gonna be for real here I no longer use windows 11 anymore and just gonna be on Arch Linux on all my computers full time again. Microsoft is creepy and weird to force users and to put this feature nobody ask for, they want your data to sell it to make money, just like they bought activision cause it has King and they make more money from micro transaction than they do selling games oh and also all the ads in windows + them always putting back team when i delete it which is weird microsoft control the user and doesnt care about your freedom or security... if anything i go on macOS or Linux.

I have built a machine with this board (Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX). I have a 2GB SSD, AMD Ryzen 9 7900x, and Windows 11. I finally got Windows installed using a flash drive, but when I went to restart the computer without the bootable USB, it did not start, and I got a blue screen with no bootable device found. I tried changing the boot options and finally gave up. how should I set up the CSM support and secure boot? what am I doing wrong?
