my airstream 2019 30' is 50 amp. how is yours 30 amp?
@thewrightlife2 күн бұрын
Our Airstream only has one air conditioner unit. Yours has two therefore it requires 50 amp service to run both units. Hope this answers your question. Safe travels.

I was there too. I got the last golf cart on a whim...once I seen how big the area was and I used the heck out of it I seem to always have someone else in my cart when I drive around....I must look like the shuttle. I would suggest 2 years for the membership to get a good experience, LOL it is less than a tank of diesel. I am with Stella's Sisters, an intra club and wish I had run into you. Hope to see you in York, PA next year. I have a Basecamp 20X. If you are there next year come look us up. Sedalia was gorgeous and hot.

We didn’t install a septic system for the Airstream. We already have one on the property and can dump (if needed).

I have watched many video's like this,,,, and I conclude all trailers are made of such low quality products its unbelievable. air stream makes better product than any other and here they are falling apart as well, what a shock for me. and NO these problems are not something just anyone can fix. you are very handy etc. Im sure not and most are not
@RyanMcKenna-u1q9 күн бұрын
The problem with all trailers no matter the make, none are not made for the environment - such as a boat is made for constant vibration and moving,,, these trailers are made of the same stuff you would put in a house which never moves..... if they made big boats with the same quality parts etc they would be falling apart in a week, just as these trailers seemingly do! Maybe I should take a boat put wheels on it and there no problems any more.
@RyanMcKenna-u1q9 күн бұрын
This is all fine and dandy if you are handy and you enjoy this kind of constant stuff, but Im a professor, I dont even know what a screw driver is,, I think its a drink, so what are poor guys like me supposed to do,, this would cost a fortune to keep going even if you could find a good honest place to service it, but what do you do when you are 1500 miles from home and your air conditioning goes,,, you are clearly very handy and like doing this,,, but the rest of us well good luck to us!
@RyanMcKenna-u1q9 күн бұрын
Is this just one year of usage. good grief. if this is what I have to go thru every year of use this is not for me.
@RyanMcKenna-u1q9 күн бұрын
This is way too many things for me,,, like really - these things should be like tanks for the price - compared the rest of the junk out there these are supposed to be the best,, this is impressive not in a good way - Im not handy and I dont have time for this - back to a pop up tent for me!

Does the type of hitch used add to the front end separation? I have a 2024 FC and a new blue ox hitch!
@TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk10 күн бұрын
You spend $43k and draw the line at $1200 for trenching. Also, we still don’t know what the carport actually costs because of all the add ons. And only 4 posts on each side.

How about this: I own an Airstream Flying Cloud 30 FB bunk. I have been looking since I bought it for a touchpad entry. There is nothing offered by Airstream and no after market product that works without modification to the door and strike. So I designed and built one. It works way better than I thought and I'm considering marketing it. Any chance you folks would give it a review? I'd only want an honest one.
@Yolotheairstream10 күн бұрын
Are these like the Erpods? How did the quality of the vents seem to be?
@thewrightlife10 күн бұрын
Yes they are similar to the Erpods in function. They both allow you to direct the flow in a variety of directions. However, just know that I didn’t purchase these items, they were provided to me at no cost to review. That said, in my opinion I would give the “quality” advantage to Erpods and the “price” advantage to CampAir. Depending on how you prioritize “quality vs price” will determine which is a better “value” for you. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching

As an engineer that has worked with HVAC systems, I can say that the science of ducting air is intense. Every angle, every change in elevation, every diameter greatly affects air flow. This product - as well as others - are great in helping the flow at the end. However, in this humble Airstreamer's opinion, a problem was solved that never should have existed. The "Old Corps" air conditioners that were a single unit that blew air straight within the unit (like what pop ups have) were far superior. It is why 34' triple axle Airstreams only needed 1 AC unit whereas most 25' owners now feel the need for 2. Don't duct and your airflow will be 100% improved... Rant complete. Carry on.
@pg879418 күн бұрын
This is why you see some manufacturers like Alliance and Brinkley moving back to no ducting unless required

These look suspiciously like the cheap stainless steel Chinese knockoffs available on Amazon, upgraded with the plastic backing ring. I had initially bought the Amazon vents to save money but ended up with the nice aluminum vents from AirKrafters. They are more money but the fit and finish are substantially better. But, the original airstream vents don’t function well so anything is an improvement.

If only they’d come up with something better to reduce the noise of our ‘14 Dometic AC unit. It does direct the air ok in 4 directions but oh the noise.

Everything looks great but I’m an electrician. It looks like they didn’t use the correct flexible conduit for your 20 amp outlets. It should be run in sealtite in order to prevent water getting into your outlet boxes. The vid just glanced over it. I would check that and if it’s not right have them come back and redo it.
@thewrightlife26 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I’ll check into it.

I for sure would have bought a Chinese micro excavator before tackling this project, with how cheap you can get them, usually around $5k USD, it would have been worth it just for your 150' trench in my opinion. Plus then you'd always have it in the yard for future projects, and you could rent it out to neighbors and such until it's fully paid for, or continue to rent it out as a little retirement side hustle.
