I am struggeling with SSA as well. But I feel so alone, because my christian friends don't want to hug me as the straight friends and feel unconfortable with hugging me. I feel lonely and pray for a hug. I am scared of beeing alone, because when my friends get married the friendships will change. My church thinks that I have a demonic spirit and I feel so ashamed of that, that I dont speak about my SSA anymore. They think I dont have SSA anymore, because I forgave my father for not being around a lot. I want to trust god, but I feel hurt and I am afraid if the life of celebicy is hard and if I won't be able to find good friends who will accept me like I am and love me like I am

The answer is simple: Homosexuals CAN NOT be turned heterosexual. There is zero case in which Jesus turned a gay to a hetero. There is zero case in which a therapy turned a gay to a hetero. Only bisexuals can go for both sides. End of the story.

So then are you intending to lead a celibate life - like a priest? It doesn't matter if a priest is gay or straight because he also chooses not to act upon his same or opposite-sex attraction.

I am glad that I stumbled across this video! I am a Catholic hermit sister that lives on the same property with another Catholic hermit sister. We have taken vows under our Bishop. It is so encouraging for us to see young Catholics such as yourself, being so raw and real about your struggles with same sex attraction. Things are getting so crazy and confusing in the world right now and you need good friends to help keep you grounded in the truth of Christ. Sitting before Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, being raw and real with Him, sharing all our pains, struggles, disordered passions, loneliness, etc., and allowing Him to speak truth to us of how He sees us, truly sets us free! I would like to share with you someone else who cares deeply about you and desires your intimacy with Christ, and that is the Blessed Virgin Mary. If anyone has Mother wounds, She desires to heal them. She is a tender Mother and She is so beautiful and pure. IF you haven't done so already, ask Jesus to help you to get to know Her. Your life of holiness will grow in leaps and bounds. Just as we have an earthly family, we have a beautiful heavenly family. God chose Her to be His Mother and if it is good for Him, it's good for us. God bless you both! You will be in our prayers. Much peace!

Aye brotha, what you experience doesn’t define you. These are just experiences, there’s more to life then what you experience. god has a plan for you , and remember god loves you man, and he will meet you wherever you are at any given moment.

When you say experience same sex attractions what does that mean I’m curious ? I don’t have a background of SSA but have family members who do including my brother. Just curious to know. And for myself someone who battles with OCD and intrusive thoughts etc and anxiety and certain physical sensations when around men does confuse me a lot.. again I’d like to know what SSA experiences are..

Good words! Thank you for sharing your story. I commend you for putting Jesus first and wanting what He wants for you, which is so much bigger and better than what we make for, or of ourselves and is for eternity, unlike the things of the flesh, which are temporal. Things may end up looking quite different than we could imagine, or had hoped, but let His Word be above us and guide us. We are all a work in progress. I don't have same-sex attraction, but have had my own struggles as do we all.

What about those SSA Christians who have desire to be in a committed relationship? What if their desire is to not live life alone and in other words not pursue chastity? But still love God and Jesus n want to be in ministry? Does it mean they haven’t experienced Jesus fully because if they have they wud have chosen the path of chastity? Can they pursue and act on their SSA, be in committed relationship and still love Jesus and think to themselves “my decision to live as a gay man (or woman) and pursue n act on my desires does not define me… im still beloved child of God eventho I do not choose the path of chastity. And i will still go to heaven eventho I act on my SSA n love Jesus at the same time”. Is chastity the end game, is it the calling for SSA Christians who really want to please God n follow Jesus to carry the cross?? What about those who want to follow Jesus but dont wanna carry this cross of chastity? OR… is it possible to be in a committed relationship because they don’t wanna live life alone BUT committed to the path of chastity at the same time? So just purely emotional connection but no physical act? Kinda like buddies for life without the physical part - is this OK u think? Thanks! Im just curious whats the answer to these questions

As an older Irish gay man who is also an Irish Traditional Catholic patriot who returned to my faith 18 years ago (traditional Mass and Rosary in Latin) I totally agree with this

This means a lot to me. I'm gay and marginally Catholic, but I'd like the latter to matter more than the former in my life. Now it's complicated because I'm married to a guy, and I feel like breaking up with him would make the situation worse.

I have told my children that some of the most courageous people in modern Society are same sex attracted people who are living a chaste life! This is because that in spite of the modern world telling you to give in to your urges you are striving to follow Him who is the Way, the Truth and the Life! God bless you!

This young man is spot on regarding Fr. James Martin S.J. I went to a talk given by him in 2015 at Old St. Joseph Catholic Church in Philadelphia PA. Martin obfuscated the truth regarding the sin of acting out in same sex relationships, and named Cardinals Cupich, Farrell and Tobin as ' gay ' friendly bishops. All three of these men have been implicated in covering up for ex Cardinal Mc Carrick. Cardinal Farrell used to live in the same rectory as Mc Carrick. When he was made the Bishop of Dallas, he used part of McCarrick's Episcopal coat of arms in his own coat of arms. This indicates how chummy he was with Mc Carrick!
