I am glad that I stumbled across this video! I am a Catholic hermit sister that lives on the same property with another Catholic hermit sister. We have taken vows under our Bishop. It is so encouraging for us to see young Catholics such as yourself, being so raw and real about your struggles with same sex attraction. Things are getting so crazy and confusing in the world right now and you need good friends to help keep you grounded in the truth of Christ. Sitting before Jesus in the Holy Eucharist, being raw and real with Him, sharing all our pains, struggles, disordered passions, loneliness, etc., and allowing Him to speak truth to us of how He sees us, truly sets us free! I would like to share with you someone else who cares deeply about you and desires your intimacy with Christ, and that is the Blessed Virgin Mary. If anyone has Mother wounds, She desires to heal them. She is a tender Mother and She is so beautiful and pure. IF you haven't done so already, ask Jesus to help you to get to know Her. Your life of holiness will grow in leaps and bounds. Just as we have an earthly family, we have a beautiful heavenly family. God chose Her to be His Mother and if it is good for Him, it's good for us. God bless you both! You will be in our prayers. Much peace!

I recently had a full conversion, embracing consecrated single life and seeing this video actually makes me feel so validated. As a SSA catholic trying to live out the teachings you can feel crazy when you’re out in the world and outcasted. This is amazing! Keep doing what you guys are doing. ❤️

However, I personally cannot wait for the day that an openly SSA Catholic who lives in accordance with the Church is FINALLY canonized. Will it be me? Will it be Avera? One can only hope and pray :-)

The best advice that I can give you for now is to pray about this. Open your heart to His voice and what He desires. Yall guys are so awesome. I wish I could spend a say with yall! I think God loves all of us equally and it seems to me that the more we focus on his perfect love and perfection and just being thankful and praying and enjoying our lives through the good and bad, while helping out people, that just means that we are doing our best and doing good enough I'm his eyes. So me being someone who is attracted to men, I've prayed to God about it and just had my quiet times with him where I could let it all out and what I'm coming to realize is that I'm still attracted to men but that's not the most important thing to worry about now anyways. God knew that when he breathed life into Adam, we were gonna someone special. He created everything in six days and said it was good!! So we are good! So therefore I know he didn't place us here to intentionally be afraid, worried or anxious or have a troubled mind. There's so many wonderful scriptures about the mind that I read aloud and it makes me feel ok; Even though I have had this same sex attraction since pre adolescence. I don't know why I have that attraction but hey I got good family and friends and when you have that, it's good enough :)
