Honest question: why does nobody point out in their videos that Wix has both “Wix Classic” AND Wix Studio? Seems like a huge oversight when KZbinrs don’t mention it, seeing how Wix Studio is pretty advanced (more capable than Framer in my experience) and not basic like the classic Wix editor. Ps- I’m not a Wix Studio fanboy (I prefer Framer, actually). I just think it’s odd that people lump Wix and Wix Studio in the same category or don’t mention Studio at all. That doesn’t seem right.

@hendrasetiawan72202 ай бұрын
@@uxblueprint completely agree with your point. In many cases of mine, clients aim for highly customized websites, but they haven’t even developed a unique brand identity. Often, the designs they request don’t align with their vision. In my experience, what they actually need is a website that focuses on improving user retention, get attraction on SEO, speed to be optimized, etc. rather than something overly sophisticated.

But the client has paid already? For existing customers it’s hard to rectify as you didn’t have anything in place. I’d recommend for future clients have some payment upfront and don’t finish any work until they are ready to accept invoice

@uxblueprint3 ай бұрын

I just recently strated learning Webflow, how much do you recommend I price my packages on Fiverr?
@uxblueprint4 ай бұрын
It heavily depends on your skill level and where you're based. I haven't used Fiverr/PeoplePerHour for over 10 years because as someone based in the UK. I can't compete with what others from India is charging. And also starting out now, it's very hard to get ranked unless you offer a cheap solution. However what you can compete with is being local and offer simplicity. What you'll find is, many potential clients, if they don't have the capacity to learn webflow, then they're likely not going to want to manage the website on the long term neither. So although I can't give you any recommendation on pricing, I'd recommend just reaching out to local businesses, you'll likely have better success.

Brilliant video, really helpful. I have been on and off designing sites for friends and family for a few years now and never really pushed to do it as a side Hussle / main job. I wanted to know what your opinion on naming your freelance business is? I see so many different business names and I'm not sure what to go with.
@uxblueprint4 ай бұрын
Arr nice. It’s pretty much how I got started, doing them for friends and then recommended to local businesses. It’s surprising how even though to you, it seems so simple, yet so many people can’t/don’t have the time to do it. And that’s where there’s a massive opportunity for people starting out. In terms of naming freelance business, I think go with some easy to remember but still relate to your niche. For example my design business is called AX Blueprint, it’s AX is a mix of my name and UX, and blueprint is just a cooler word than design. Don’t go with something complex or hard to remember. For example I know people who’s called their business G2YWS, no one is gonna remember that.

You don't have to create macros for those commands, you can go to the "SPECIAL" on the KEYMAP menu and select the key "Any". That key allows you to write the combination you want for example the Mask combination is C(G(KC_M)) and the Hide/Unhide is LSG(KC_E) and these combinations work on Mac 😊

Yeah that’s true, I did have these keys as well but again anything that requires me to look it up every time I want to change is not ideal.

Some do, but most don't want to deal with it and don't know how to work it. You'll be surprised how many people can't use Squarespace. Those small business owners are who you want to target! Now a days, I tell them to try Squarespace first, if they really struggle then I’ll take them on.

So from what I read and saw in another video, you can have layers for the micro pad so that 12 keys become 36 (or 48) I think there are 4 layers. You can change layers by clicking the smiley thing on the keypad and layers can be set using the via on top left you can see 0,1,2,3 layers
@uxblueprint4 ай бұрын
yes you can, but the only indicator to tell which "layer" you're on is the tiny LED next to the smiley face. It's not exactly easy to tell which layer you're on when your focus is on the screen. I almost never have to take my eyes off the screen, and when you have to think which layer you're on constantly it doesn't simplify my workflow.
