I won a 2024 Chev 2500 diesel . I love it . I also test drive the 3.0 Chev . It also was a great ride. I needed to tow heavy in the near future when my wife retires . My purchase was for the near future

Nice to win a truck!
@Michael-e9s2x6 сағат бұрын
The wh/mile is only power to wheels. A better test is starting at 80%, drive until below 20% then charge back to 80%. How many miles did you travel divided by the Jw added to get back to starting SOC.
@Myksgarage6 сағат бұрын
Yeah that would be a better test

I changed tires on my Tesla X to another brand at 28k miles and Tesla refused to fix the vibration shutter in the front left Half Shaft. I had to go back to Discount tire, beg the to replace with the original manufacturer and series. They blamed the vibration on non Tesla approved tires

Charging at home is more than $0.40/kwh where I am :( It's essentially the same cost as supercharging.
@Myksgarage17 сағат бұрын
That's crazy! Where you live?
@derekhayes711818 сағат бұрын
Aloha from Hawaii. Not everyone can charge at home. Some people live in high rise buildings. Condos, townhouses. They can only supercharge.
@Myksgarage18 сағат бұрын
Thus might be a deal for them
@Michael-e9s2x20 сағат бұрын
The Free Supercharging is not worth the additional $25,000. 1. Soon as you drive off, the $100k+ value drops to $80k. 2. Supercharging my Tesla X cost me 18 cents per mile. 3. If you buy the cheaper CT, you still have an additional $20k. 4. $8K goes to FSD. 5. The $12k goes to charging and at an average of 1.9 miles per Kw and cost of .35 cents per Kw. You can go a long way. 60,000 miles, but only if it makes it to 60k
@Michael-e9s2x20 сағат бұрын
And you only need Autosteering which I use and turn off my FSD

Yeah good point!

@@Myksgarage The true miles per Kw is actually below 2 miles and about 1.8 to 1.9 miles. The screen only shows wh/mile and doesn’t capture All power consumed by BMS, HVAC and info center. My Tesla X had free supercharging in 2020. I put 50k miles in 22 months during covid. I added 19,380 Kw to go that far. 2.6 miles but the screen shows 3.2 miles

You can replace both, if you have the large one in place most likely the smaller one behind the dash is still good and doesn't need to be replaced because it is hard to get to

My 2023 model y dual motor long range was $268 a month with a $250 Collision deductible. My cyber truck is only $138 a month with the same $250 Collision deductible. State Farm classified the model y as a "sport wagon" in a higher insurance bracket. The Cyber truck is insured as a pickup truck. Pickup trucks typically are cheaper to insure. This is in Northern Missouri with a clean driving record.

On a 50amp breaker The mobile connector will still only charge at a max of 32amps. But the wall connector will go up to 40amps.

I wish I could have seen you check the oil with the dipstick. I went to check mine today, ands the dipstick is so long. I wiped it off then looked to see where the line was and I couldn’t see it. I inserted it back in and pulled it back out but because of the way the stick is made (twirly) ands the same color as oil, I couldn’t see and oil line on it. I tried three times but want getting. Then I checked the transmission fluid and had the same issue. My Service Engine Soon light came on yesterday. My son told me not to panic, just check my fluids. I literally just had everything done in Sept, so I’m confused as to why it would come on. I have to move it on Friday because my time is up here. But now I’m afraid to drive it.

@Myksgarage a little hatch in the back of that fronk to open up directly to the battery with a disconnect right next to it would have been very doable though. I don't think they wanted people doing their own service or jumping cars probably. To be fair the latter can destroy the DC to DC converter if they screw up.

For the Bros.... Found out today the knobs chrome plastic ring pieces, have three tabs bottom right left, push those in and pull the set ring straight out (its a tight fit over the rubber knob but does come right out forward) then flip over remove the grey back piece on the back of the climate control, and the circuit board falls right out. Get a soldering iron at 480c and melt the solder on either side of the led when facing you.

I have a 2024 High Country with the 3.0 LZO. I have about 20k miles on it and drive a lot for me territory. I love the fuel mileage and have no issues with oil consumption as many blogs have alluded to. I had a couple regen codes the first 5k and 10k miles and the dealership had to do a forced regen and said they recalibrated the regen program, that seems to be fixed. I had a water pump failure - leaked from the minute I purchased the truck since I kept smelling coolant when the truck was warmed up. The dealership finally located leak in the pump and replaced it under warranty. I read a blog that this is an issue with this truck, leaks form a port hole somewhere and you have to remove the entire front end of the truck to get to the water pump. I also developed this tin exhaust rattling noise under a load or under acceleration but quiets down once at cruising speed. It bugged me so much I had the dealership change out the exhaust system under warranty but it seems to be back - yikes. Wondering if anyone else is annoyed by the same noise? Other than that, I really like the truck.
