What’s the point of something being so expensive and uselessly not user friendly? I still do not get it.. like does it have its price tag because of who used it? How is this justified because I’m genuinely baffled and confused

premiere pro isnt good either lol it doesnt have the basic format support for .mkv. Cmon.. and you still need to pay for the codec.

Flame was mainly used for VFX, but Nuke is more prevalent in the industry. Next video, try Avid for editing, cause that's the industry standard.

It would be really funny for you to try editing a video in Reaper. It's a program that's technically able to edit videos but Not Very Well™.

This sounds like a Pro Tools situation to me. It's a program that's only still around because they were around first, which means every studio that was rich back in the 90s now knows how to use this. If all the high-grade professional editors in the world died right now it would go bankrupt the next week - other editors would not. As a result of having a guaranteed captive audience they haven't spent a cent on UX since 2004. Some much cheaper editors might even have more features - I'm not a video editor so I don't know.
